*THE LORD’S SUPPER* 2ND, 4TH & 5TH SUNDAYS
A gift of Christ to His Church is the Lord’s Supper. Under the
simple forms of bread and wine Christ gives us His very Body
and Blood for our forgiveness, life, and salvation.
Dr. Martin Luther taught, “that person is truly worthy and well prepared who has faith in these words, ‘Given and shed for you for the forgiveness of sins!”’
If you are a baptized Christian and share this faith with us, we welcome you
to the Lord’s Table to share with us the Risen Christ and His blessings.
[Non-communion age children are invited to come forward for a blessing]
for you, leaving you an example, so that you might follow in his steps.”
Our heavenly Father wants us to grow into the image of His Son,
to follow in His steps. Jesus suffered for us not only to redeem us,
but also to show us what love looks like – to leave us an example
of self-giving, sacrificial generosity. “Let us ever walk with Jesus,
follow His example pure.”
