On March 24, 2010, County Council approved a 2010 budget of $67.6 million to provide a broad range of services,
including:
• $12.1 million for capital improvements to County Roads & Bridges, including $7 million for the rehabilitation of County
Road 41. This project is equally funded by the County, Federal and Provincial governments.
• $4.6 million for the retrofit and expansion of the current Social Service office at 95 Advance Avenue in Napanee. This project
will allow the four Social Servicse offices within Greater Napanee to be consolidated in one location.
• $300,000 for the County’s share of the $200 million Eastern Ontario Wardens’ Caucus broadband project.
• $175,000 for the County’s multi-year capital commitment to Community Health Care projects at the Pine Meadow Nursing
Home, Northbrook, the Lennox & Addington County General Hospital and the University Hospitals Kingston
Foundation.
• A further allocation of $174,200 to reserves for the future retrofit and expansion of the County Museum & Archives.

The average assessment of a residential property in the County of Lennox & Addington in 2010 is $179,193 (2009 - $168,321). The
County’s portion of property taxes on this assessment is a total of $959.65 in 2010, which is an increase of $23.06 from 2009. County
property taxes represent about 40% of the total residential property tax bill, with education and local municipal taxes making up the
balance. The following summary provides a breakdown of the services funded from the $959.65 in County property taxes in 2010 on
