Lock and Lean Police Motorcycle Training
80-Hour Police Motor Officer Certification©
This intense two-week course teaches Officers how to properly handle a patrol motorcycle in
various street environments for successful day-to-day patrol operations. This class is taught by an
active full time Police Motor Officer/Supervisor with many years of combined training and current
active patrol experience.
Class is Mon-Friday 8am-4pm each day. (May 9-13 & 16-20, 2016)
Training Topics at a Glance:
Slow Speed Operations
Motorcycle nomenclature, brakeless throttle/clutch management, straight line balance, tight
balanced turns, balanced stops, quick transitions, slow speed/tight space street survival escapes
and much more.
Street Speed Operations
Smooth acceleration/deceleration techniques, threshold braking at 40mph +/- speeds with
transition to slow speed, evasive maneuvers, group/partner riding techniques, multi-surface riding,
situational response tactics and much more.
Our training fleet consists of Harley-Davidson Police Road King Motorcycles from various years.
Police Departments may choose to bring their own Police Motorcycle to the training.
Class cost with use of a Lock and Lean Training Motorcycle: $1400
Class cost with your Department Motorcycle: $900
Requirements:
*Students must have a motorcycle endorsement by the first day of class.
*Students must have a motorcycle helmet (DOT) minimum.
*Students must have gloves, boots, jeans, leather coat and eye protection.
*Students that provide a motorcycle must provide insurance for that motorcycle.
Refund Policy:
-Cancellation of any class over 60 days before class begins, a 75% refund of the class
registration fee will be issued.
-Cancellation of any class 30-60 days before class begins, a 50% refund of the class
registration fee will be issued.
-Cancellation of any class less then 30 days before class begins, NO REFUND will be
issued.
-Full refunds will be issued to students if the class is cancelled by Lock and Lean Precision
Motorcycle Riding, LLC.
