Our Midnight Luxe range has a modern twist on your regular
theming, showcasing simplistic Black and White tones with
influences of Silver and Glass throughout the ranging.
Break away from the traditional style with something a little
more elegant and edgy.
MEASURE THE WIDTH
OF THE PRESENT
Place the wrapping paper
face-down on the table and
centre your gift on it, bottom up.
Bring both sides of the paper around the
sides of the gift and over the top so that
one side overlaps the other by a couple of
centre meters. Cut the paper from
bottom to top in a straight line.

TAPE THE SEAM
Making sure the gift is in the
middle of the paper, wrap the
paper back around the sides of
the gift so the edges meet and
secure with tape (a trick is to tape one side
down to the actual gift, and then secure the
second side onto the first.

FOLD THE SIDES & TAPING
THE FLAPS
Holding the box firmly in place,
fold the seamed sides of the
paper against one edge of the
gift (this helps keep the box cantered) and
crease both the left and the right sides of
the paper diagonally against the gift.
Turn your wrapped package right-side-up
and centre the unwound length of ribbon
across the top, then wrap the ribbon
around the package lengthwise and twist
it in the centre underneath the box.
Then bring the final side up (the front
flap) against the gift and secure neatly
with tape.
Bring the ends back up around the sides
of the box and tie the ribbon once in
the centre, then tie a bow. Cut the ends
neatly in a point or arrow tail.

Continuing from that spot on the ribbon,
wrap an additional amount width-wise.
If the rest of your wrapping is simple, this
can be a nice place to add a flourish of
creativity.
APPLY A RIBBON
Before cutting the ribbon,
unwind the approximate length
you’ll need and wrap the
ribbon once around your box
lengthwise.
To allow for a bow, unwind from several
inches to more (depending on the size of
the package) then cut the ribbon.
ADD THE GIFT TAG
Whether it’s part of a heartfelt
note or a succinct “To” and
“From,” everyone likes seeing

ASSEMBLE YOUR TREE
Using the guidelines enclosed
in your Christmas tree package,
start shaping the tree beginning
with the bottom branches and
working from the trunk of the tree. Separate
the branch tips to form a v shape, then
alternate angling the tips upwards and
downwards slightly.
THE SPIRAL METHOD
Starting at the bottom of the tree close to the
trunk, separate the cord near the first bulb so
it forms a loop and slip the loop over one of
the greens near the trunk to anchor.
Once you have reached the top of the
tree step back and look at the tree from a
distance to see if any areas need further
Repeat this process with each branch. As you
approach the top of the tree space the bulbs
further apart so the tree looks more evenly lit.

LIGHTING YOUR TREE
Using the guidelines unpack your
lights and lay them flat on the
floor then plug them into the wall
socket to check that the lights are
working and that the cords are not damaged.
If your lights have replaceable globes, replace
them before putting on the tree.

DECORATIONS
Up and down Method
Starting at the bottom of the tree, weave
the lights between the branches up to the
top of the tree then work your way back
down the tree in the same manner. Repeat
this process moving around the tree.
Pull the string of lights along the length of
the branch to the tip, then wrap the lights
around the branch back to the trunk.

Remove the skins from the sausages and discard. Crumble the meat.
Heat the KM oval casserole over a medium heat then add the sausage
meat and pancetta and a splash of oil.
Fry until the sausage meat is golden brown, stirring every few minutes. Don’t
worry if you get some sticky, crunchy bits – it’s all flavour.
5. Add onion, garlic, carrot, celery, bay leaves, dried chilli and fennel seeds and
another splash of oil, if needed, and stir well. The vegetables will sweat a little
and ease all the crusty, caramelized pieces from the bottom of the pot.
6. Continue to cook gently for 15 minutes, stirring every few minutes, until the
vegetables are soft and slightly caramelized.
7. Add the tomato paste and red wine and bring to a simmer.
8. Add stock, tomatoes, rosemary and oregano and continue to
simmer for about 45 minutes on low heat, until you have a thick,
intense sauce consistency.\
9. Cook the pasta according to packet instructions.

Method
1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Butter your pan.
2. In a large bowl, blend together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
3. In a second bowl, combine instant espresso powder, buttermilk, brown sugar,
eggs, oil, melted butter, and vanilla.
4. Pour the wet mixture into the flour mixture and fold gently using a rubber spatula
until ingredients are combined.
5. Fold in the chopped chocolate.
6. Portion into prepared baking pan. 2 tablespoons (1 ounce) per
rounded braided cookie mold or fill two-thirds full using a Ziploc bag with
the corner snipped off as a piping bag.
7. Bake at 325 degrees for 10 minutes and allow to cool in the pan for
10 minutes before releasing from the pan and transferring to a cooling
rack. Allow to cool completely before glazing.
8. When glazing doughnuts, dip the patterned side into the glaze, then
allow it to
set-up on a cooling rack, dry side down dipped side facing up, for at
least 30 minutes. Here’s our recipe for Chocolate Ganache.
9. If chopped nuts or sprinkles are desired, decorate before the glaze
dries.
