HERITAGE
SUUNTO ALGORITHMS
At the heart of every Suunto dive computer is an
algorithm – the reduced gradient bubble model
(RGBM) – that calculates decompression for a dive.
Relentlessly pursuing ever best models for divers
of all types, Suunto continues to push for RGBM
perfection. Suunto has been developing RGBM
algorithms together with Dr. Bruce Wienke for
well over a decade. A rich history full of science,
development, and underwater experience lies
within every Suunto dive computer.

Suunto Ambassador Jill Heinerth is a pioneering
underwater explorer and filmmaker, leading
technical diver, and world expert in rebreather
technology. She has dived deeper into the planet
than any woman in history.
The Suunto Ambassador Jill Heinerth faced many roadblocks along her road to
a successful career in exploration and underwater imaging. Realizing that there
were unique challenges for women divers, she and co-author Reneé Power
have developed a new guidebook, Women Underwater.

profiles, gases, and back-up plans. When you are ready, export planned
gases and other dive-critical information to your dive computer (selected

If you have your gases mixed at a dive shop, you can print gas mixing
instructions from DM5.
DOWNLOAD AND TRACK
Suunto DM5 is free to download and it automatically updates to any
available new version when you are online. After the dive, download your
dive information back to the computer. Your activity will be recorded in
the logbook, where you can organize and view your dives.
SUUNTO EON STEEL SUPPORT
Two completely new areas in Suunto DM5 are introduced for Suunto
EON Steel. The biggest is display customization. Create and modify your
EON Steel displays in DM5 and transfer them to your device with the
included USB cable. In addition, future software updates for EON Steel
are downloaded and installed with DM5.
Suunto DM5 is also integrated with Movescount.com. In Movescount.com
you can see all your dives, follow your progress, add pictures and maps,
and share your adventures with friends.
