NEW HELMET MOUNT ASSEMBLY
NOROTOS, INC.
Norotos is pleased to announce the release of its newest
Universal Helmet Mount Assembly, the AKA2 HMA. The
new Universal Shroud will accommodate all previous
Norotos helmet mounts including the original aluminum
HMA to the most advanced ENVG HMA. Those few, specific
Norotos HMA’s not directly compatible to the shroud/
bracket interface can be easily and promptly converted
with Norotos adapters. The AKA2 HMA also incorporates a
quick-change socket that provides complete, almost instant
interchangeability between PVS-7/14 and PVS-15/18/21
night vision goggles.
The Universal Shroud will accommodate all Norotos
products, and the new AKA2 helmet mount distinguishes
itself from all prior models by almost entirely eliminating
wobble thus minimizing user fatigue and eye strain. The
forward/aft mechanism has been changed to a lock-down
mechanism which is now infinitely adjustable within its entire range

forward/aft mechanism, which is also the interface to the user’s night vision goggle, can be swapped out within seconds
and converted to accommodate the PVS-7/14’s or PVS-15/18/21’s. Further, these accomplishments will greatly assist
the logistics for those purchasing helmet mounts by simplifying a one-system-nearly-fits-all approach. Other improved
features include enhanced mechanical integrity and reliability of the system. Additionally, mechanical refinement of
each moving component has been introduced into the new AKA2 helmet mount—a break-away tether attach point in
the shroud is also provided. Norotos believes simplicity and reliability go hand-in-hand with regard to their newest
Universal Helmet Mount Assembly, the AKA2 HMA.
