Futsal, indoor soccer, but a very different game than the soccer we know from the field. It is different in a lot
of ways which makes it a whole different sport than the soccer we know. But what is so different about it?
What makes it an interesting game? And most important, why would you want to play it?
Futsal is indoor and played by only five players in the field. Every team has a goalkeeper and four players
in the field, most of the time every team has four substitutes as well because the game is exhausting and
this way every player can catch their breath and rest enough during the game. The game is a lot faster than
outdoor soccer as well, the field is smaller and therefore there happens a lot more during the game.
In possession of the ball every team can be dangerous because of the small field, one good pass and there
will be a scoring opportunity. One good dribble and you will be close to the goal, this makes the sport very
interesting to watch for supporters, especially for people who like the beauty of the game. The players need
to use their skills way more than in outdoor soccer which leads to spectacular tricks and entertainment for
everyone who loves soccer as a game.
But mostly the game is spectacular because everything goes way faster than in outdoor soccer. There are
way more scoring opportunities in futsal, in this game it is normal when 10 goals are scored in one match.
Outdoor this is very rare and this makes futsal such an energetic sport to play, and to watch.
Futsal is especially good for the technique of the players, because of the small field and the hard playfield it
is very important the player in possession keeps the ball close to him. But also because the game is a lot
quicker, here for de players have to move the ball faster and have to move quicker. For example, famous
players like Messi and Falcao play a lot of futsal because it improves their technique.
