DIRECT RESPONSE
HELP *DR
INFO DR
DIRECT RESPONSE is a WORLDSPAN feature that appends an indicator to segments
in your PNR indicating that an agreement to exchange record locators via teletype exists
between WORLDSPAN and the airline. Segments on participating airlines are identified
by a P (pending) until the participating airline has responded with their record locator.
Once the airline responds, the pending indicator P is replaced with an A, meaning the
booking has been acknowledged.
Included in the Direct Response are the airline’s record locator, the airline code, flight
number and city pair. It is mandatory for an Airline Source and Direct Sell participant to
participate in Direct Response. It is optional for the other airline participants.
View All record locators
*DR
REGULAR PARTICIPANT
WORLDSPAN accesses the airline database when the booking is ‘ended’, i.e. after End
Transaction. However, the airline can reject the booking within 12hours of it receiving it.
It is recommended that a Regular Participant should not be confirmed to a passenger
until the 12 hours have elapsed.
NB. If travel is within 48hours, contact the WORLDSPAN HELPDESK for assistance
