inding a good place to eat has become easier with the help of
technology. Many restaurants are rated on sites such as Yelp
or Google Reviews with customer-sourced feedback. Picking a
place to eat may be easier, but deciding on what food and drinks to try
may still be difficult.
With the Wine ‘n’ Dine, you won’t have the problem
of choosing what to order. A delicious prix fixe
menu is selected, and each course is paired with
at least one delightful wine.
All Wine ‘n’ Dines are set in local restaurants with a casual atmosphere.
The goal of each event is always food, fun and friends. Round-trip
transportation from the ITT-Hickam office is included in the $50 per
person price, which also covers your meal and wine pairings.

The Springtime Wine ‘n’ Dine is taking place

stars on Yelp and 4.5 out of 5 on Google Reviews.

a taste of jbphh
Hold your next event at IRONS table + tavern
JBPHH’s newest restaurant is also a hot spot for creating memories
by Reid Tokeshi
Patrons celebrate a wedding at IRONS table + tavern.
You may already know that IRONS table +
tavern at the Navy-Marine Golf Course is
home to creative cuisine in a casual upscale
setting. What you may not know is that it
can be a great place to celebrate a special
occasion or hold a particular event.
“IRONS has so much to offer for your party
or special event,” says General Manager
Mike Wells. “You cannot beat the central
location with plenty of free parking. The views
overlooking the golf course are amazing.”
Between the main dining room and the outside
lanai, IRONS can accommodate parties of
over 100 people. Varied menu options mean
the restaurant can provide everything from
light lunches to formal dinners and more.
“One of our menus that is becoming popular is
our family-style pupu menu. We take many of
our popular entrées and serve them up pupu
style for your group to share,” says Wells.
He adds that this works especially well for
occasions where groups arrive at different
times, such as golf events.
“
.... We even hosted a beautiful
Sunday afternoon wedding for
100 people.
”
From its inception, IRONS has stood out
for fresh menu items. This continues with
not only the pupu menus (including stuffed
mushrooms, steamed clams and more), but
even for lunch and dinner. A glance at the
buffet menus reveals island favorites like
hibachi chicken and chopped steak, along
with fresh catches and braised short ribs.
“We have heard nothing but compliments
from the parties we already hosted,”
exclaimed Wells. “Our chef does a great job
of catering to the needs of the customers.”
Since opening in January, word has already
gotten out that IRONS can be a wonderful
choice to have your event. Wells says, “In the
short time we have been open, we hosted
several hail and farewells, business lunches
and a surprise retirement party. We even
hosted a beautiful Sunday afternoon wedding
for 100 people.”
With a convenient off-base location, lots
of parking and a variety of menu options,
consider IRONS table + tavern the next time
you’re planning a special occasion.
