History Of Lingerie
Before 1889, the corsets were the only primary undergarments worn by women. The intent of these
tightly constricted pieces of clothing were to slim the women's figure. The common artistic rendering of women
previous to this time (not counting the classic nudes of artistic history), is that of the flat- chested woman dressed
in colorful clothing depending on whatever era she lived in.
Then, it happened. Madam. Cudelle of France cut out the midriff of her corset to allow more movement
from the waist. Behold, the brassiere !
The rest is history. Since then, lingerie has become a multi-million dollar industry & couples everywhere
have enjoyed the unique sensuality that this type of garment suggests when worn by a female who enjoys
seducing her man. Other than the most straight-laced of ultra-conservative men, there is not a man on the

Breast sizes across Europe are growing. The average size has gone from a 34B to a 36C over the past

Well-known for its comfort & breathability, cotton is also durable & easy to care for. Beware of excessive shrinkage. Sometimes,
taking a larger size is suggested. No matter what material your underpants are ade from, a cotton gusset is always

LYCRA / SPANDEX Usually blended with nylon, polyester, silk or cotton, it gives garments stretch & flexibility. Don't get discouraged if your
garment is not 100% cotton, a touch of Spandex is beneficial for fit & shape retention.
MICROFIBER
Made from ultra-fine man-made fibres, it is super lightweight, feels silky & makes undergarments mould to the body.
NYLON
Garments made out of nylon have the light feel of silk except they are stronger, retain shape better & are much easier to
care for.
POLYESTER
Strong & quick drying attributes make this a very popular lingerie material. Higher quality polyester & those blended with
Lycra tend to feel better next to the skin & fit the body well. Don't think about awful leisure wear from the 70's, polyester
today can feel fabulous.
SILK
A luxurious lingerie fabric that is lightweight, drapes beautifully & feels great against the body. Machine-washing is not
recommended. Beware of water stains. The best way to remove a water spot is by washing the whole garment. Dry cleaning
will not wash the garment or remove water spots since dry cleaning does not involve water.
Tips
Small bust fixers
If you have small breast, beware of bandeaux; they flatten which is exactly what you don't need. Invest in a
padded, push up or a gel filled bra to define & enhance the shape of your twins.
Well endowed to dos
If you have a large bust, invest in a bra that needs support. Avoid demi cup or half cup bras they tend to make
large boobs droopy. A full cup bra will give you support, lift & a flattering shape.

03. There is no perfect bra : To find the most flattering fit, be sure to try on several styles. Tip: Slip on a shirt so you can see how your shape will
