COLOUR CLUB
Our new faces feat. HUMPHREY’S
Julianna: The 17-year old sings in several
bands and works as a model - she particularly
likes Soul & Funk and loves rapping. During
the day Julianna is still at school working
towards her final exams. In her free time she
enjoys playing tennis and dancing.
Alex: Marketing student Alex (23) is an international traveller, who with a father from Bali
and Swabian mother, has been a global citizen
from a very tender age. As a result he listens
to German and old American hip-hop, loves
backpacking and earns pocket money for his
trips doing small guitar gigs.
Claire: 22 years old and half-Swiss, Claire is
full of curiosity about life and enjoys travel,
going for gentle strolls, philosophising and
concerts, as well as eating, the cinema and
good humour. So no surprise then that she
lives in Berlin, her dream city is Amsterdam,
and she's training to be a foreign language
correspondent in English and French.
Marco: The 23-year old banker, who
specialises in recruitment and employment, is
a committed family man who likes good music
(hip-hop) and loves dancing, dancing, dancing.
Another of his passions is cooking, preferably as you would expect - with lots of friends.

Welcome to the new HUMPHREY'S world,
which reflects its powerful statement from head to toe:
BE DIFFERENT!
The photo shoot for the new advertising campaign took place with professional expertise,
four fantastic models, a good flash and
the latest glasses from HUMPHREY'S eyewear.
No question about it, the atmosphere on
the photo set spilled over into the cool frame
designs, which radiate fun and an infectious
good mood. As far as the artistic approach
was concerned, it was decided to go for
the tone-in-tone trend, on the one hand creating an eye-catching effect and on the other
drawing attention to the faces. And that was
the start of the Colour Club, which knows just
how to inspire its fans and members with
charismatic models and ultra-fashionable
HUMPHREY'S style.

Wouldn't it be great to see your life through a different set of eyes once in a while? Rose tinted glasses are old hat now
though; the future is new and mysterious. The trend is called the "burned effect" and frames have a raw finish to look as
though they've been burned. So the eye-catching effect has swept away the past and is gracing the triple-layered material
of the three new ladies' and men's frames. Combined with strong colours and fashionable patterns, there's nothing to stand
in the way of a great leap forward.

KNOWLEDGE
100%
VISION IN
LIFESPAN OF AN EYELASH
Everyone has approximately 150 to 250 eyelashes on
the upper lid of each eye. They work together with
the lower lashes to protect our eyes from dirt and sweat
for a period of about two months. Then they fall out and
a new hair grows.
100 SECONDS
This is where we tell you facts and amazing things about the human eye.
COLOURFUL EYE COLOURS
Whether someone has blue, brown, green or grey eyes depends on the melanin
pigment, which also dictates the colour of their skin and hair. The less the concentration
of melanin, the bluer the iris (the coloured part of the eye) looks.
WHAT A TEAR-JERKER
Our tears aren't just there to help express our
emotions like laughing or crying, their primary
purpose is to moisten the cornea. They also
protect the surface of the eye with germicidal
substances and clear it of little foreign bodies
when the eyelid wipes over the eye like a
windscreen wiper.
OPTICAL ILLUSIONS
The process by which our eyes see is based on the interaction of our sensory perception with knowledge
and experiences. If they don't all 'fit', the brain interprets what is being seen as wrong and that's how optical
illusions come about.

DIY - MAKE YOURSELF A STYLISH GLASSES CASE
To get long-lasting pleasure from your glasses and protect them
from getting scratched in your bag, what you need is a glasses case.
And if you want to be individual, like HUMPHREY'S eyewear,
we recommend that you make one yourself. You'll find lots of styles
and templates on the internet, with step-by-step instructions for cool
results. Get crafting and use thread, ink and cloth to craft yourself
a case – or make one as a present for your best friend.
INTELLIGENT PUPILS
We use our pupils to control the amount of
light entering the eye. So in the dark they
widen up to 8 mm and when it's bright
narrow to 1.5 mm – similarly to the way
a camera aperture works.

STAND-UP-PADDLING
Between the traditional popular sports and the latest
sports crazes which are quick to wither away,
trend sports are causing quite a stir. They are young,
funky, and often adrenaline laden. Some of them are all
about having fun, others are extreme sports that push
you to your limits. And many develop as variations of
an established sport, such as kitesurfing or stand up
paddle boarding. This is where polarising sunglasses
from HUMPHREY'S eyewear offer optimum vision in every
situation. The town also plays a big part in practising
the latest sporting trends, with railings, parks and tarmac
offering new arenas and possibilities for the – mostly –
young fans. This has led to an upsurge in sports such as
parkour, street surfing and freeletics. Ultimately, if a sport
has hundreds of devotees and attracts a lot of public
interest, it can be defined as a new trend sport.
We've done the research for you in terms of which
of them are particularly hot. Who knows you might yet
find yourself balancing on a slackline across
your own garden?
01 Mountain Climbing: The call of the
mountains is shouting ever louder and
is celebrating a comeback. At the centre
is an intense closeness to nature and the
reaching of one's own personal limits –
whether mountain walking to low summits
or scaling Alpine mountain ranges.
02 Kitesurfing: A sport that started off in
Hawaii, kitesurfing combines a surfboard
with stunt kite for a great adrenaline rush.
Whether breaking nail-biting speeds of
100 km/h or attempting huge acrobatic
leaps across water.
03 Parkour: As he makes his way through
the urban jungle the traceur, as the acrobat
is called, has to make his way as quickly
and efficiently as possible along his chosen route. He or she combines techniques
such as running, jumping and climbing in
a spectacular performance.
04 Streetsurfing: The progression of the
skateboard to waveboard now means
you can street surf on tarmac Innovative
techniques are used, such as moving from
the hips and legs for an unbelievable new
feeling - similar to surfing.
05 Stand-up Paddle Boarding (SUP):
This easy to learn fitness trend works like
surfing – but without the wind or sea.
While you stand relaxed on your board,
you propel yourself forwards using a
paddle and experience streams, lakes and
rivers from a new perspective.
06 Slacklining: Slackliners balance
on a flat band of nylon webbing that is
stretched between two points. Because of
the elasticity of the slackline, the challenge
is to train the concentration, balance and
coordination.

The theme "Modern Vintage" was
the inspiration behind these glasses –
a model each for women and men.
The worn appearance of the metal front
is evocative of exciting stories and
accumulated experiences, whilst side
pieces of a matching colour made from
paper thin acetate celebrate the hottest

EVER-POPULAR DENIM
Grey, blue or black: denim jackets are men's wardrobe
classics. Teamed with a white shirt and stylish jogging
pants, they create an interesting look that the rectangular
men's frame makes even cooler.

MODE MEETS ART
The turtleneck is an expression of functional modernity
and goes superbly with other styles, such as a shirt dress,
stylish shoes and eye-catching accessories. And of course
trendy glasses like the Panto from HUMPHREY'S eyewear
are essential accessories that give that relaxed look its
finishing touches.
The current fashions match the

FASHION
FASHION MADE EASY
Originally designed for the military, the bomber jacket has
become a firm favourite in the fashion world.
This is down partly to its light weight but also its
versatility. The jacket goes as well with a shirt and chinos
as it does here with jeans and a t-shirt. The finishing touch
are the latest glasses from HUMPHREY'S.

FACES
Form to Face:
Which
T HE OVAL FACE
An oval face has soft contours and prominent cheekbones. The narrower forehead and oval-shaped chin make
the face look particularly balanced, which is why oval is popularly thought to be the perfect shape. This is certainly
the case for glasses wearers, because almost all shapes of glasses suit an oval face. It's just small round frames
that generally get lost in an oval face so are best avoided.
T HE ROUND FACE
A round face is similar to the oval shape, but looks shorter in relation to
the width of the face. The cheeks are full, but the chin less prominent, giving
it a gentler outer contour. Round faces are best suited by narrow rectangular
glasses which make the face look longer. Equally flattering are trapezoidshaped glasses and half-frame styles which have a wider opening at the bottom
which emphasises the eye area. The only no-go here is perfectly round ...
so steer clear of the John Lennon style.
glasses

face?
T HE SQUARE FACE
A square face is long and narrow, making it look large and striking.
The jaw is prominent, as is the forehead, resulting in the facial features
often being seen as severe. To counteract this impression, soft frame
shapes with round or oval lenses are recommended, as are frameless
glasses or ones with high temples. Wide or very angular frames are
best avoided as they can make a square face look even wider.
T HE T RIANGULAR FACE
The bottom third of a triangular face looks broader and fuller than
the top part and is slightly pear shaped. The narrowest point is very
clearly around the temples. For a well-proportioned and balanced look
you should wear trapezoid-shaped glasses or butterfly styles that
emphasise the upper part of the face. Wide temples also really suit
triangular faces, but narrow frames are less flattering.
T HE HEART-SHAPED FACE
You can recognise a heart-shaped face by a broad forehead
and cheek area, which gets narrower towards the chin,
upward-slanting eyebrows and a small mouth. Heart-shaped
faces can wear round or oval styles or round-cornered rectangular
styles. Upswept frames also look great, although colours that are
too vibrant or eye-catching frames can look rather overpowering
on a heart-shaped face.

MAKE UP TIPPS
Make-up
for the look
with glasses
LARGE EYES WITH
SHORT SIGHTEDNESS
Step 1: Apply eyeshadow
To make the eyes look larger, use a makeup brush to apply a medium beige shade
over the whole eyelid – and the inner corner of the eye. Use several short brush
strokes to make the eyelid a lot brighter. Then use the same shade of beige to apply
eyeshadow along the lower lashes.
Step 2: Add highlights
Choose a lighter shade of beige and use your finger to apply a highlight to
the middle of the top lid.
Step 3: White kohl
To make the eye appear larger, draw a line along the lower waterline
(the line between the eye and the lower lashes) using a white
kohl pencil.
Step 1: Apply the first eyeshadow colour
Choose a light shade of eyeshadow and apply it across the whole of the upper
lid using a soft brush. Don't forget to apply it to the inner corner of the eye
as well, and blend the colour up to the eyebrows. Apply the same shade
underneath the eye along the lower lash line.
Step 2: Apply the second eyeshadow colour
Now use a gentle shade of lavender, applying the eyeshadow
to the moveable upper lid into the eyelid crease. Always start from the
outside and spread the colour towards the inside – making sure you
don't create any harsh edges at the eyebrow line. Once you've done
the upper lid, use a stiffer but finer brush to apply shadow in the same
shade along the lash line under the eye.
Step 3: Apply the third eyeshadow colour
Use the make-up brush and apply eyeshadow colour no. 3, a deep violet.
Start at the outer corner of the eye and apply the shadow as close as possible
to the upper lash line. Next brush the shadow to the inside of the eye and
blend it upwards. Apply this shade to the lower lid too.
Step 4 Blend
To make sure that you blend all of the different shades, use a brush
to sweep gently across the upper and lower lids.
Step 5: Mascara Finish
Apply a thick coat of black mascara to the upper lashes and then use
the same brush to apply a thinner coat to the lower lashes. This is
an effective way to create a great look which looks perfect with your new
glasses from HUMPHREY'S eyewear.
SMART MAKE-UP FOR
LONG-SIGHTED GLASSES WEARERS
Step 4: Colour & Glasses
If you like wearing eye-catching fashionable glasses like ones from HUMPRHREY'S
eyewear, make sure that the other shades you use for your make-up match
the colour of your frame.
Step 5: Mascara Finish
Black mascara is particularly dramatic, even behind glasses lenses,
which is why it's good to apply a finishing coat of mascara. Give the upper and
lower lashes a coat of deep black mascara, then for best results repeat once
the first coat is dry. This will make you look your best and combine with your
glasses to draw you lots of admiring glances.

With HUMPHREY’S eyewear you don't just look good, but
stylish too – whatever the weather! Because the cool
frames also feature in our sunglasses collection. The absolute favourites include models in the two-tone look with
bright colours on the inside, jazzy contrasts and colourful
outlines. Equally high in the trend stakes are designs with
colour effects such as, for example, casual colour blends
or eye-catching stripes. It's simply logical that so much
individuality can't be restricted to one material alone, for
which reason the sunny bestsellers from HUMPHREY'S
eyewear are available in acetate, metal or a combination
of the two.

The popular sunglasses trend is now
becoming fashionable in prescription
frames too: cool, changing reflections.
The new superlight plastic glasses have
a mirror effect and are complemented
by matching stainless steel temples.
The result is stylish ladies frames with
a soft edge and striking men's glasses
in a retro style. There are also two
wafer-thin nylor versions – so all-in-all,

12:00 noon Check in & set off
It's best to embark on the 24-hour trip to Prague from a small guest house in the heart of Prague's
old town.
1:00 p.m.Rock’n’Roll
The first sightseeing tour simply has to be a city tour by Segway. Listen to the information through
headphones while enjoying the fresh air on your face as you cross over the famous Charles Bridge.
3:00 p.m. Coffee time
Of course, no trip to Prague should be without a visit to one of the opulent coffee houses. Make sure
you try specialities like pancakes and 'trdelniks', rolled dough wrapped around a stick, grilled and
then topped with a cinnamon and sugar mix.
5:00 p.m. Kafka Museum
The world of one of the most famous writers of the 20th century, Franz Kafka, is both confusing and
yet fascinating at the same time. The multimedia exhibition in the Kafka Museum is a feast for the senses.

11:30 p.m. Bunker clubbing
The graffiti covered door opens into the world of the "Bunkr Parukarka" nightclub, a converted
bunker dating back to the Cold War. The heat is certainly turned up here, and you're sure to experience
an unforgettable evening bopping along to electropop and industrial tracks.

The fast food of today

Market Food
Street markets and weekly markets are turning into fashionable
meeting places. It's not just where you buy the ingredients

right there too.
Our brand motto BE DIFFERENT is a statement that doesn't have any age limit.
That's why this spring there are six new
HUMPHREY'S Young Stars models in a total
of 20 different colours. These match the
narrow head shapes of teenagers perfectly,
not to mention some adults, and they have
big appeal because of the bright colours
on the inside, which contrast with the more
restrained fronts. Just like the adult versions,
rectangular lenses with acetate and metal
combine to make a cool design.
