Stitch Pattern
(K3, P3) rib
**pattern is in multiples of 6, adjust size to fit.
Directions
Cast on 138 stitches with #4 circular needles and join the stitches.
Work in (K3, P3) rib across all stitches.
**Work the first four rounds with #4 needle, then continue with #5 needles
until the beanie measures 9.5 inches.

Notes
The sample was knit in #6 needles for the cast on, and the remainder in #5
needles. The band was a bit loose. Starting with the #4 needles, and
continuing with #5 needles should tighten the rim slightly for a nicer fit.
With the interchangeable needles, the 20" length (total size, cord plus needles)
works well for the beanie.
