Introduction:
The Turkish Special Athletes Sports Federation will host the 6th INAS Open
European Indoor Athletics Championships in Istanbul – Turkey. The venue
hosted the last IAAF World Indoor Athletics Championships.

Team Competition
According to the INAS guidelines and in order to encourage nations to participate,
the INAS World Championships will have both individual and team competition per
sex (male and female). In the Team Competition each competing nation is only
allowed one (1) athlete per event (the best classified in the individual competition).
Only nations with a minimum of 3 participant’s athletes per sex are eligible to
participate in the Team Competition of this sex (male or female).
The classification system for Team Competition is:
• n points for 1st classified;
• n-1 points for 2nd classified;
• n-2 points for 3rd classified, and so on for other places, where (n) is the
number of nations eligible for participation in the Team Competition per sex.
Example: Male Competition, 12 participating countries
• 1st 12 points
• 2nd 11 points
• 3rd 10 points
• ...
• 12th 1 point
Venue
Ataköy Athletics Arena, is an indoor sporting arena for track and field athletics events
located in Ataköy neighborhood of Bakırköy, Istanbul.
The venue was constructed special for the 2012 IAAF World Indoor Championships
held in March 9–11, 2012. It is situated next to the Sinan Erdem Dome, where the
training activities are being held. The arena will be the first indoor athletics venue of
the country as such. In the Istanbul bid for the 2020 Summer Olympics, this venue
has been discussed to hold judo and taekwondo events.
The building is 125 m (410 ft) long, 87 m (285 ft) wide and 27 m (89 ft) high, covering an
area of 10,875 m2 (117,060 sq ft).
Ataköy Athletics Arena has a 200 m (660 ft) oval track with six lanes, a 60 m (200 ft)
straight track with eight lanes for track events, and shot put, high jump, pole vault,
long/triple jump sectors for field events.
It has a total seating capacity of 7,450 consisting of 5,040 spectator seats, 590 VIP seats,
206 VIP seats, 141 seats with table for TV commentators, 230 seats with table for press,
and 144 seats with desk for photo editors and press. In addition, there are 560 seats for
team stands and 60 seats for coaches.

The Delegations will be hosted in 5 stars Hotel Crowne Plaza Harbiye İstanbul
In the city centre, Osmanbey metro station 350 meters, Atatürk Airport 20 km.,
walking distance to Taksim Square, Istanbul Lütfi Kırdar Convention Exhibition
Centre. And also Sütıüce Convention Centre is only 6 km. Biggest shopping mall in
the city; Cevahir and many other shopping malls take a few minutes by car or on foot.

Accreditation
Accreditation cards will be issued to each athlete only after he/she has personally
shown his/her valid passport to the Event Eligibility Officer. All athletes must have an
Active entry on the INAS Master List. Accreditation will also be provided to staff and
other officials on registration, with passport and two passport photos.
Language
English is the official language of Inas and the event. All information will be available
in English and Turkish.
Visa Requirements
If you need visa for Turkey, you can reach the visa from Turkish Consulates and
borders and airports.
Doping Control
This event is subject to random doping tests in accordance with the Inas AntiDoping Policy, details of which can be found at www.inas.org. Any athlete taking
medication subject to doping controls needs to complete the Inas TUE form and
submit to the Inas Head of anti-doping at least 21 days in advance of their arrival at
this event. These forms are available from the Inas website.
Medical Service
Facilities are available at Sport city for each team’s own physiotherapists to work
with their athletes. An ambulance and paramedic will be available during the races.
In case of illness local medical services are available and the event will be attended
by medical support.
Sports Rules and Regulations
The event will be run in accordance with IAAF and Inas rules and regulations.
Athlete Eligibility
All athletes entering the event must appear on the Inas Classification Master List no
later than the final entry deadline. Applications for new athletes must be submitted to
Inas as soon as possible. Athletes who do not meet the qualifying criteria or do not
appear on the Inas Classification Master List are not able to participate in this event.
There is no ‘guest’ entry.
Insurance
The Organising Committee will ensure satisfactory insurance arrangements are
made in respect of public liability and professional indemnity. Participating teams are
responsible for their own insurance requirements for travel, personal accident,
liability, and medical matters.

Entry Fee
Entry fee is 100 Euro per person/per night for double room.
For single room is 120 Euro.
