Standish, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Fire has destroyed a home
and a barn attached to the home in the town of Standish.
The fire broke out at 2:45 Saturday morning on Route 114. It took
firefighters about an hour and a half to get the fire under control.
Fire captain Abe Newton says a shortage of manpower and a lack
of water supply made it difficult to fight the fire. Newton says the
Tanker Task Force was called in to help put out the blaze.
There were no injuries in the fire. The home and barn are a total
loss. The state fire marshal's office has been called in to help
determine the cause of the fire. Firefighters from Buxton,
Limington, Windham, Gorham, Baldwin, Naples, Raymond,
Cornish, Hollis, Bridgton, Sebago, were all called in to help out.
