Spring 2016 Lookbook - Niche Clothing Company

SPRING
2016
Niche is a collection of modern soft separates
with rich textures and textiles and distinctive
architectural details. It is made in the USA and
found in high-end boutiques across the USA
and Canada. In 2016, Niche celebrates its 20th
anniversary as a fashion brand.
Niche designer Nilgün Derman is a native
of Istanbul, Turkey and has a background in
industrial design that influences the angular
shapes and sophisticated sensibilities of the
Niche collection. Nilgün began creating intricate
hand-painted art to wear clothing in the late ‘80s
in an atelier nestled in a “niche” of heritage oak
trees in Castle Hills, TX. The beautiful setting
inspired the name of the company. From one-ofa-kind garments, the line evolved into a ready-towear collection.
Her daughter Ayse Derman joined Niche as
Creative Director, and together with their closeknit team, the mother-daughter partners create
an ever-expanding range of modern clothing for
stylish, world-traveling, fashion forward women.
The Niche flagship boutique is located in San
Antonio at the Historic Pearl Brewery just across
the river from company headquarters. The
collection draws inspiration from this energetic
district of culture, creativity, cuisine and fashion
in the Alamo City.
