GKR has always prided itself on being a ‘family
club’. The classes cater for all ages ranging from
5 to 75, with approximately 40% of our students
being female!

management traineeship that incorporates:
As with most traditional martial arts systems,
GKR is a ‘non-contact’ style of karate. This helps
to develop a student’s focus, control and selfdiscipline.
For many people, going to a karate class for
the first time can be very intimidating as its
public image can often create a variety of
misconceptions. We overcome these fears
by answering their questions, and by helping
them to see that karate can be for everyone.
Most importantly, people can learn all of these
things in the comfort of their own home,
thanks to this unique and personal approach.

comprehensive karate and leadership training
to Self Defence Consultants, in order to
prepare them for future management positions
within the organisation.
Apart from being a successful karate organisation,
GKR is also a professional business. This
provides an even greater level of tuition for the
students, and a backdrop of financial stability
for the organisation to constantly expand and
improve. This intensely professional approach has
naturally enhanced the standard of the karate, and
this has been proven by the success of GKR’s
representative tournament teams.
