ImageBond™
is a new brand of specifically
engineered Aluminium
Composite Material (ACM) for
the digital print, display and
signage markets developed
and supplied by Spandex.
The range offers as standard a variety of colours,
finishes, sizes and skin thicknesses to suit different
requirements. In addition to our standard local stock
offering ImageBond offers colour matches, bespoke
finishes and sizes (including 2-metre wide sheets).

ImageBond offers 3 product grades:
ImageBond™ is our premium quality ACM that
combines two 0.3mm aluminium surface skins
on a polyethylene core. This grade is specifically
developed for UV digital printing and 3D applications.
ImageBond™ lite is a lighter weight option that
combines two 0.21mm aluminium surface skins
on a polyethylene core. This grade is specifically
developed for UV digital printing, flat and some 3D
applications.
ImageBond™ ultralite is the ACM to use when you
need a quality economy offering, that combines
0.15mm aluminium surface skin on a polyethylene
core. This grade is ideal for flat applications.
Both ImageBond and ImageBond lite use one of the
highest grades of aluminium coil available ensuring
perfect printed and cutting results together with a
5-year limited warranty. ImageBond ultralite comes
with a 3-year limited warranty.

Quality control
With a QC test laboratory next to production you
can be assured all necessary quality tests are
covered by the fully qualified team who also test
panels from each pallet of material to very strict
tolerances to ensure 100% consistency.
Raw materials
Each component is of the highest quality to ensure
the perfect finished product:
Aluminium coil
We specify virgin alu coil for the complete
ImageBond range. ImageBond and ImageBond
lite use 3003 series coil that provides a leading
surface finish, suitability for UV digital printing, great
conversion properties, flatness and hardness.
For ImageBond ultralite, 1100 series coil is used that
gives a much lighter weight while still retaining good
surface, stability and digital printing properties.
Protective film
PE grain for the core
Our film is specifically sourced for ImageBond
offering excellent protection with easy peel,
no lines, no ghosting and no residue of glue
once removed.
The industrial recycled PE grain used is extremely
clean and provides a virgin core performance in
terms of structure, colour, minimal dusting whilst
routing and drilling.
Bonding adhesive film
Paint
The aluminium surface skin is bonded to a
polyethylene core with the best film available
negating the risk of de-lamination.
Working with prominent global paint manufactures,
the highest quality digital printing paint is
guaranteed to a limited 5 year warranty for
ImageBond and ImageBond lite giving you
the confidence of superb results coupled with
minimal colour degradation. ImageBond ultralite is
guaranteed for 3 years.

ImageBond is well suited for brand owners,
corporate and project work. Spandex offers you
industry leading services, including single and
double side colour matching, as well bespoke
sizing across the ImageBond range.

Single colour match
Bespoke sizes
Any colour can be matched to your specification. We
recommend working to the RAL colour chart for colour
matches as any RAL colour will be matched exactly.
We can work with you to engineer most sizes.
The minimum order quantity (MOQ) is just 600m2.
Double colour match
ImageBond and ImageBond lite offer a colour match
possibility of two separate colours on one panel of
ACM. We recommend working to a RAL colour chart
to ensure an exact match.
MOQ will vary upon requirement.
Special thicknesses
Our standard total sheet thickness is 3mm, however we
understand that sometimes the standard thicknesses we
offer will be slightly different to the requirements of certain
projects. Therefore we can offer a range of skin and core
thicknesses to meet your exacting requirements.
MOQ will vary upon requirement.
The MOQ is just 1000m2.

Specific surfaces
Should you require a specific surface or finish just let
us know and we’ll work with you to provide a solution.
MOQ start at 600m2.
3D SUITABILITY
For applications including V-notching and folding.
The standard colours of ImageBond and ImageBond
lite are double sided in terms of finish giving you
maximum choice. One side gloss, one side matt both
are perfectly suited for UV digital printing. We can
provide both sides gloss or both sides matt for a MOQ.
ImageBond offers you comprehensive solutions for
all your ACM requirements from the more complex 3D
applications where ImageBond excels, to the lighter
weight UV digital printing properties of ImageBond
lite through to the efficiencies ImageBond ultralite
delivers. Print quality is exceptionally high on the
matt finish side of black and white.
