ENMAX Centrium Sound System Design Build
ENMAX Centrium - Red Deer, AB
The Westerner Park Board of Directors approved a capital expense to upgrade the sound system in
the ENMAX Centrium at their June 2014 board meeting.
After a request for proposal was issued, Allstar Show Industries was chosen to design and install
the new sound system. JBL VRX932LA-1 Line Array cabinets and JBL STX828S subwoofers were
hung equally around the ENMAX Centrium, delivering clean and balanced sound throughout the
arena bowl. The system is powered by Crown MA9000 I and MA12000 I amplifiers to provide stateof-the-art sound, further enhancing the ENMAX Centrium as a premiere event and entertainment
destination.
“What an exciting announcement for Red Deer Rebels fans.” Said Merrick Sutter, Senior Vice
President, Red Deer Rebels. “This upgrade will further enhance our commitment to providing a
professional hockey game experience for central Albertans. Combined with our video scoreboard
and LED system, the audio/visual experience has never been greater.”
The new sound system was unveiled at the beginning of the 2014/2015 Western Hockey League
season.
