METHODOLOGY
AND LEVELS
METHODOLOGY
We offer a Robust, Well-Developed English Language Course at an
Accelerated Pace
Based upon our marketing analysis, students enrolled in our Intensive Plus
Programs and our Intensive Advanced Program progress up to 50% faster
than in comparable programs in other schools. We help our students learn
more quickly by applying accelerated learning techniques. Accelerated
learning leads to faster results. But the depth of knowledge does not get
lost in the mix – so while it's accelerated, students are learning on a deeper
level, something that is fundamentally life changing and enriching. Our
robust, rich, thoroughly developed curriculum makes us the premier
language institute in Washington DC. We're different than the other
schools, and so are our students: we offer a depth of learning they want –
and need – at an accelerated pace.
We Use A Smarter Teaching Model – The Communicative Method
The communicative method enables students to own the language learning
experience, meaning that they are constantly practicing their English skills in
a fun and interactive way. Teachers serve as guides to help students take full
ownership of the language, thus allowing students a greater role in language
acquisition. Learning in the classroom at inlingua is more authentic,
rewarding, and life-changing, thanks to the communicative approach.

PRIVATE INDIVIDUAL AND PRIVATE GROUP TUTORING
Many of our students request one-on-one tutoring. Our Private Tutoring Coordinators do an excellent
job of pairing students with teachers to ensure the highest level of success. Students often excel at such a
fast rate with their private tutor that sessions continue for months.
Private lessons offer tremendous flexibility. Students are able to choose the subjects, days, times, and
hours that they better suit their needs.
Your teacher will be selected according to your profile and necessities. On the first day of your lesson you
will determine together your specific language goals. All of our instructors are fully certified, qualified
and experienced in ascertaining the best approach for your class.
Examples of topics that you might study during your private lessons, include, but are not limited to:
- Intensive General English Training
- English Training with a Strong Emphasis on Speaking one Language
- Interviews
- Test preparation
- Pronunciation
- Vocabulary improvement
- Business situations: Public speaking, talking on the phone, preparing professional emails and
reports, etc.
- Real life conversations
- Negotiating
- Marketing
- Other Highly Specialized Subjects

ACCOMMODATIONS
HOMESTAY ACCOMMODATION
Celebrating national holidays, shopping trips, family dinners, regular conversation, and weekend fun
are just some of the things that our students enjoy by joining our Homestay Program.
Inlingua's Homestay Program offers accommodations with different types of families who live in the
greater Washington DC Metropolitan Area. All of the participating families undergo a very rigorous
selection, investigation, and approval process; once they join our program, they are continuously
supervised.
Inlingua's Homestay Program is the best way for students to complement their English learning
experience in the USA.
RESIDENCE -APARTMENT
Staying at our residence/apartment is a great way to meet other international and national students
and explore the city while studying in Washington.
Enjoy a sociable atmosphere with the independence of student living spaces.
We offer fully furnished, shared rooms for two people in different locations from 10 to 45 minutes by
public transportation. Each apartment has its own fully equipped kitchen, and offers amenities such as
cable TV, a common living area, a fitness center, and access to laundry facilities. The buildings are also
equipped with a grocery store and 24-hour security.
Private bedroom, private or shared bathroom, 10-30 minutes by public transportation from inlingua.

At Inlingua Washington DC, we believe that language learning
takes place both inside and outside the classroom. After classes, our
students head out to explore the heart of the nation's capital while at the same time they practice their English skills in a real-life
context.
Our social activities program is specifically designed to help
students practice their language skills while immersing
themselves in American culture. Here at Inlingua, we offer a robust
and exciting activities program that is not only academically
stimulating, but culturally enriching and of course, FUN! Whether
it's touring the iconic Capitol building, the White House, the many
famous monuments and landmarks, exploring the Smithsonian
museums, or simply playing a game of soccer at one of the city's
beautiful parks, activities are a great way to gain the most out of
your experience abroad. Our excursions and field trips include
exciting adventures such as professional baseball and soccer
games, Philadelphia, New York City, Six Flags and so much more!
