1.3 Color Convertion
1.3.1 RGB to CMYK Conversion
For RGB to CMYK convert ion, please following the recommended procedures:
1. Make sure that RGB images are assigned to a proper source profile. If the source profile
is unknown, use Adobe RGB 1998 as default RGB source profile.
2. Make sure the desired output intent profile is chosen in CMYK working color space in
Photoshop color setting.
3. 6HOHFWLRQ&RQYHUWWR3URILOHFRQILUP'HVWLQDWLRQ6SDFHSURILOH,62&RDWHGY(&,
Set the rendering intent as “Relative Colorimetric”.
1.3.2 CMYK-to-CMYK Conversion
In the case that images have already been converted into CMYK using other profile other than the
desired profile from Table 2. For example, U.S. web coated (SWOP) CMYK, you need to soft proofing
the colors using the Everbest recommended profiles such as ISOCoated.icc. If there is an
obvious difference, make the CMYK-to-CMYK conversion as follows:
1. Use the original profile as source profile, in this example is U.S. web coated (SWOP).
2. Use the desired profile as destination profile, in this case is ISOCoate.
3. Use “Relative Colorimetric” intent.
