Evers Road Christian Church 5258 Evers Road San Antonio, Texas 78238 210-684-2043 EversRoadChristianChurch.org Sunday 9 am - Sunday School 10 am – Worship 6 pm – Bible Study 6 pm – Youth Group Wednesday 7 pm - Bible Study SEPTEMBER 2014 Volume 21 Issue 10 Saturday 8 am – Men’s Prayer Breakfast Fall Clean Up - October 18 - 9 a.m.-Noon. Will you help us with yard work and cleaning? Bring cleaning supplies or something to cut brush out of a fence! We had a great September with the long anticipated start of Home Comforts ministry and “Is the Bible Reliable?” series. There are plenty of opportunities to serve others in Home Comforts. (Contact Pat Thompson if you would like to help.) Our ladies had both an ERCC ladies meeting and an Area Ladies meeting at N.W. Hills CC during September. Cody has started a new College Age group, see him for more information. Thanks to: Eliud and Elizabeth Rodriguez for tending to our nursery cribs/ Rose & Jerry Kline, Lenora Burkholder, Charlene Searle for Sunday School Kick-Off Breakfast Tacos/ Edward Gideon & Pat Thompson & Tom Campbell for yard work / Susan Biggs for organizing ladies meeting / Carrie Camacho for running the Food Pantry and handling church insurance. Home Comforts needs good used or new items for bathrooms, kitchens and bedrooms. Please pick up a list for the exact items we distribute. As I write this line the Food Pantry had to close today after being open for only 30 minutes because there is no food...it’s just a pantry right now. Would you consider buying three cans of any of the items on our Food Pantry list each month? If each of us got in the habit of buying for the Food Pantry just once a month the pantry could do a better job of helping others. - PHILLIP Prayer Request 1. Lillie Walton 2. Doug & Cindy Corbin 3.
