The Parable of the
Sower and the Seed
It’s been a long winter, but spring has finally arrived! Easter is upon us as well.
Holy week is the holiest week of the year. If you have never experienced the Triduum, this
would be a great year to experience it all. Holy Thursday is the mass of the Last Supper
and the washing of the feet. Good Friday, the church is bare and our Youth Group
members do a still-life portrayal of the Stations of the Cross. On Holy Saturday, the vigil
mass is celebrated and is a beautiful mass that begins with a fire and candles are lit all
throughout the church one at a time, similar to our candle service at Insight on Friday night.
April and May are full of great activities and meetings! In April, we have Stations of the
Cross and the Easter Egg Hunt. The Easter Egg Hunt is held for kids ages PreK3 through
Kindergarten and is a great afternoon for the families of the parish.
We hope to see you at the Easter services and all of the other Youth Group events held in
April and May!
April 27 - It’s time to touch base and see how you’re living
the fourth! We can help you and you can help each other
stick with your commitments. Join us at 7pm, even if you
didn’t attend Insight.
April 3 - Our annual portrayal of Stations of the Cross will be held on Good Friday, April 3 at
7:30pm in church. Participants should check with Gina and Amy to know which dates you should
be here for practice.
April 4 - This year’s Easter Egg Hunt will be held on Holy Saturday, April 4. This is a way to serve
the families of our parish.

Youth Group’s Mission
Community = Youth Group should provide a “place to be” for high school students,
something separate from home and school and “real” - unlike virtual escapes and
online communities. Youth Group should be a place for like-minded, faith-seeking
teenagers who can come to YG to make friends and/or spend time with friends. Most
importantly, Youth Group provides a safe environment for kids to be themselves and
maybe even discover a new piece of themselves.
Education & Spirituality = Youth Group’s mission is to both educate and help kids
tap into their spirituality by addressing fundamental questions such as Who is God?
How do we find him in the world? How do we function as Christians in the world?
How do we communicate with God? How do I pray? Who does God want for me?
