FIDM STUDENT HOUSING
Make friends, learn life-building skills, and
be part of a community within FIDM.
Why Choose FIDM Student Housing?
FIDM Student Housing is a great way to acclimate to college
life and a new city, meet new friends, attend fun events, and
network with other students.
Resident Advisors live on site (LA) and regularly
visit each unit to help students transition to living with new
people, learn about FIDM’s resources, appreciate diversity,

build important life skills.”

Students often use Student Housing as a stepping
stone to fully independent living (though there are
many students who stay in Student Housing the
entire program). Should independent housing be a
better fit, apartment and roommate referrals are
available via the FIDM Portal for accepted students.

apartment expectations,

might arise.”
All of our units are 2-bedroom, 2-bath premium apartment
units strategically located near each campus in LA, OC, and
SD (SF handles independent living options and works closely
with students to be sure all their housing needs are met).
Most students apply to be in a “shared” space, sharing a
bedroom and bathroom with another resident. Apartment
units accommodate up to four residents. Private rooms are
available at double the cost.

The cost includes rent, basic cable, furniture, utilities, and
Internet access. Food, phone, and parking are not included,
though limited parking spaces are distributed. Please see
Housing FAQs for more details.
As a first-time LA applicant, a student cannot request a
specific property. FIDM must have the flexibility to assign
spaces according to availability for the student’s first quarter,
due to the nature of our housing. In the following quarter, as
a Student Housing renewal applicant, the student is able to
request a specific property and is given priority placement.
Student Housing is limited to full-time FIDM Students only.
“Our FIDM Housing experience was
a very positive one. We truly
appreciated the beauty, security,
and convenience of the FIDM
Housing accommodations.”
