This center protects the techniques
and ideals behind Sekishu Washi and
Sekishu Banshi Handmade Paper. They
sell and display products made with
Sekishu Washi. If you book in advance,
you can try your hand at making this
paper yourself.
There are displays of the masks and
costumes used in Iwami Kagura. If
you’re lucky, perhaps you will be able
to observe them being made! If you
book in advance, you can try designing
your own kagura mask.
Products related to Iwami Kagura are
on sale here! Aside from this, there are
also high quality products from
Hamada and popular souvenirs such
as Rikyu Manju buns, “Akaten”
fishcakes and 3 types of dried
“donchicchi” fish.

with Iwami meat, the Ebisu-don , topped with heaps of Iwami fish, and
