The heavily distressed look of this line comes from the nails and staples that were in the wood in its original form. If the lumber is sanded down to avoid these typical holes and marks the feel of the finished product would not be the same. S TAND ARD WA X Black Wax F I NI S H E S Grey Wash Light Brown Medium Brown White Wash Standard Wax Finishes The standard finish for all of the Reclaimed Lumber Line is a natural wax finish. Wax finishes have no lacquer topcoat and therefore will show more wear-and-tear. This adds to the rustic flair of the line. Wax finishes can be touched-up relatively easily and most stains can be removed. For items whose surfaces are high traffic (e.g. dining tables, coffee tables, desks, etc.) we have added a lacquer topcoat. This topcoat is only added to items in the Grey Wash and White Wash Finishes. Light Brown and Medium Brown Wax Finishes can be touched up relatively easily and are therefore not sealed. All items have the option for a lacquer topcoat with a 10% up charge. Please keep in mind that adding the top coat does take away from the natural look but it does protect the surface. We feel that the wax finish complements the original look and the wear-and-tear becomes part of the charm of the piece. PR EM I UM ANT I Q U E Brown Antique F I N I SH E S Dark Antique Light Antique Medium Antique Antique Painted Finishes These are our newest finishes added to the Reclaimed Lumber Line. The finishes are mainly hand-applied and have a lacquer top coat. Their unique antique look will stand out in any room. All reclaimed lumber items are available in this finish for a 10% up charge. COM is available and may be subject to an up charge and extended lead time. Please ask your Territory Manager for more details.
