SIZE GUIDE, CATALOGUE
& LOGO MANUALS
Blaklader knows how important it is that our
workwear is fitting correctly and are comfortable, but it is not always obvious to a person
how- and where to measure their body to get a
perfect fit. To make this process a lot easier and
quicker, we developed a Size Guide with an associated movie online. In Blaklader Size Guide,
each person or employee enter their measurements in relevant fields and have their correct
sizes for top and bottom calculated straight
away. An easy way to have all sizes for each employee correct ahead of ordering workwear from
Blaklader.
“A total of 66 % of the garments
were labeled Point P.”
A product catalogue was made by our marketing department so that the required assortment
could be decided. Several samples were then
made for testing to assure the desired level of
quality, comfort and design ahead of production.
36 different logo manuals were made by the
marketing department so that the logo types
could be heat transferred correctly on the workwear as required. This helped to unify the visual
identity and keep the differences in a company
of 24 000 employees, over 20 legal companies
and over 40 chain names.
EACH ITEM WAS PERSONALIZED WITH
LOGOS. A TOTAL OF 230 000 HEAT
TRANSFERS WERE MADE.
EDI - SAFE, QUICK
AND EASY
Saint-Gobain and Blåkläder IT department
worked closely together so that each customer
store could place their own personal order via
EDI services. The Electronic Data Interchange
service provide enhanced safety and reduces
the risk of errors. When an order is placed online
it is received immediately by Blåkläder business
systems. We then send back an electronic order
response to the customer. If desired, we could
also send a dispatch advice and invoice. The
process is safe, quick and easy.
“Each customer store could place
their own personal order. A total
of 129 816 were ordered.”
The orders made by Saint-Gobain Group arrived at
our warehouse and were put into storage ahead of
being personalized pending delivery. All orders
were picked and packed through our automatic
electronic system.
WE ALSO OFFER OUR CUSTOMERS THE
OPTION TO HAVE THEIR GARMENTS
EMBROIDERED AS DESIRED.
OUR OWN FACTORIES
OUR OWN FACTORIES
Blåkläder owns our own factories in Sri Lanka
and Vietnam, and together they produce around
80% of our products. These factories are certified according to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and SA
8000, which we believe we have reason to be
proud of!
By owning our own factories, we have full transparency in production and can feel secure with
the fact that our production is carried out in
a nice way with satisfied colleagues at our
production units.
“80% of our products are produced
in our own factories. This gives us
better flow and higher quality.”
This also gives us the possibility to set higher
demands, have direct contact with subsuppliers and have better flow and higher
quality in production.
OUR WAREHOUSE COVERS 20,000M2 AND HOLDS
APPROMXIATELY 1.5 MILLION GARMENTS.
PERSONALIZED ORDERS
PERSONALIZED ORDERS
Since every employee had measured their own
sizes, every order we received was personalized
and packed for each and every individual.
“We dressed a total of 9 306 people.”
DELIVERY
Within the agreed timetable we had all garments
packed, stored and ready to be delivered. On a
few occasions Blåkläder chose to use a third
shift to speed up the procedure due to all the
personalized production that was being done.
“We delivered products to no less
than 1 559 street addresses
in France.”
THERE ARE NO SHORTCUTS.
JUST HARD WORK.
For over 50 years, Blåkläder has developed, manufactured and distributed
workwear for professionals with high demands on quality, functionality and
design. We see workwear as tools for our customers, so they can do a better
job being safer. We look at workwear as an investment. We know that quality
pays off in the end, especially if the seams last a lifetime.
“We control the whole process to make sure
things are being done in the best possible way.”
We have learned what it costs to maintain an excellent level, and what is
required to ensure quality at every stage in the process, from idea to time of
delivery - and the price is dedication, perseverance and knowledge. Someone has to do the job. Someone has to raise their hands and make sure things
are being done in the best possible way. That is why we control the whole
process ourselves. We own the factories where the garments are sewn. We
know exactly under which conditions our garments are made and by whom.
This gives us full control over quality and delivery, but also health and safety
in production.
The result is one of the widest assortment in the market with 1,5 million
garments in stock and a delivery reliability of over 97 %. Hard work has made
Blåkläder a growing, international company. Hard work will make us grow
even more.

LIFETIME WARRANTY
------------------------------------------------------Having our own production gives us better control
of quality. Some two million garments leave our
factories each year.
------------------------------------------------------Blåkläder works hard to ensure the customer
gets their order in full and on time. Thats why our
warehouse covers 20,000m2 and holds appromxiately
1.5million garments. It’s from this central hub we
send garments worldwide.
OUR OWN DESIGN
------------------------------------------------------Functional, comfortable garments with an attractive
design. That’s the result of long tradition, expertise
and collaboration with users. We develop specially
designed collections for companies that want to
show off their own profile.
-----------------------------------------------------------Our factories are SA8000 certified, which is a voluntary
international standard that governs the social conditions
of employees. SA8000 is based on ILO’s core conventions,
UN’s declaration of Human Rights and UN’s convention
on the Rights of the Child. This means that our factories
are audited according to eight key areas: child labour,
forced labour, health and safety, freedom of association
and freedom of negotiation, discrimination, discipline and
working hours and reimbursement.
-----------------------------------------------------------Blåkläder is the only working clothes manufacturer that
offers a lifetime warranty on its seams. Professional staff
and modern equipment make this warranty possible. If
a seam splits, as long as it has not been torn by sharp
edges or tools, we will repair it or replace the garment. We
consider a garment’s life span to be up until it has holes
worn in it or is otherwise no longer useful.
ISO 14001
-----------------------------------------------------------We are ISO 14001-certified, which means that we
are constantly working to be as considerate to the
environment as possible.
