Day 3
Today we visit Potsdam. The state capital of Brandenburg, Potsdam
is best known as the former royal seat of Prussia with a number
of magnificent parks and palaces. 300 years ago, the garrison
town of Potsdam became one of Europe’s most magnificent royal
cities. The Prussian kings created a baroque dream in Potsdam
and its surroundings, to which their successors added great neoclassical monuments. In 1990, the Palaces and Parks of Potsdam
were awarded UNESCO World Heritage status. Potsdam offers a
spectacular wealth of culture and history to enjoy.
Day 4
We enjoy a day at leisure to explore Berlin at your own pace.
Contrasts between historical buildings and modern architecture,
between the traditional and the modern are what set the city apart
from the rest. The sights of Berlin, from the Brandenburg Gate to the
Federal Chancellery, tell the story of an entire nation. Germany’s
capital is home to all the major government buildings, most notably
the historic Reichstag, seat of the German parliament. Berlin is a
city of art, artists and museums. More than 170 museums, including
those on the famous museum island, put the treasures of the world
on public display. Culturally mined visitors from all corners of the
world come to Berlin to see performances by leading orchestras
and to attend ballets and operas at three leading opera houses.
The famous Kurfurstendamm, grand old Friedrichstrasse and the
boutiques around the Hackesche Hofe offer endless shopping.

vineyards. The Cinque Terre became a UNSECO World Heritage site in 1997, which includes a protected marine area and became a
