The Senior Adult Gazette
Trust me, September is just a few short
weeks away. Hopefully cooler weather is
just around the corner. It has been a great
summer for us and I hope for you. Like
South Carolina, our country has beautiful
places as Carolyn and I experienced in
June. The Columbine flower, pictured
above ,was taken at Butchart Gardens on
Vancouver Island, British Columbia.

relation to Greenville Vision 2025.

Spotlight on two nonagenarians
in the month of September.
Margaret
Murphy
Margaret Murphy was born on March 20, 1919
and spent most of her life in Newburgh, NY. In
Newburgh her family was involved in the
Cornwall Presbyterian Church where she served
as an Elder and several terms as Clerk of the
Session. After joining Westminster Presbyterian
Church she participated in At Ease and served on
the Sanctuary Committee. Margaret has one son
(deceased), 3 grandchildren and 6 great
grandchildren. She lives at Rolling Green Village.

Marshall
John Marshall was born on December 21, 1918
in Appomattox County, VA. In 1949 he moved
to Greenville and joined Westminster. Since
then he has served as Deacon, taught Sunday
School and was Superintendent. He also served
as Chair of the Missions Committee. John has 3
children, 8 grandchildren and 4 great
grandchildren. John’s current ministry is
keeping in touch with some of our shut-ins with
regular phone calls.
