Welcome to the 15th Anniversary
edition of our ‘Dine Zine’.
By coincidence, I am writing this on the
exact date when ‘Dine’ was incorporated
15 years ago. What a great time it’s been
and I have to say that my first thought is to
thank all of the clients, venues, suppliers
and the entire Dine team, who have
all contributed to the success of Dine
and to whom I am extremely grateful.
Over the years, the Dine Group’s products
and services have evolved and we now
have five main divisions; Dine Hospitality,
which offers excellent contract catering,
from simple sandwich buffets to facilities
management; Dine Events, which offers
fantastic event planning and award
winning food and service, either at our
venues or our client’s homes or offices.
There are then our Teams at Dine at the
Mansion and Dine at Allerton Castle,
who manage the sales, marketing and
hospitality at these amazing venues.
Finally, there is Dine Consultancy,
which works with organisations such
as the National Trust and specialises
in consulting on the management
of historic and public buildings.
We also innovate constantly – from serving
drinks on iPad trays designed by Dine,
to offering our clients a unique online
planning service (to complement their
own personal Dine Event Manager),
we are always looking for ways to
ensure that our clients and their guests
experience the ‘Dine Difference’.

The Mansion
Since Dine at The Mansion opened in September
2009, this popular Leeds venue got off to a
tremendous start – winning 3 awards for the
significant renovation and re-design of the interior
(in partnership with Leeds City Council) and
more than 40 events booked before the work was
completed.
The parkland views, excellent conference facilities
and personal service that our Event Managers offer
means that The Mansion has become the venue
of choice for many businesses. Recently we’ve
seen companies looking for an event that’s more
creative than a usual day conference or 3 course
dinner. The Dine Team have produced a variety
of events, including a Wine Tasting evening with a
canapé menu themed to each country, hosted by
Jilly Goolden, a Ready Steady Cook afternoon with
our Chefs and team building events with Climbing
Walls and even an African Drumming workshop!
The beautiful interior of The Mansion is what sets the
venue apart and our picturesque location in the
heart of Roundhay Park makes The Mansion the
perfect choice for any special event.
Supporting
our Charities
In Dine’s 15th year, we have set
ourselves the challenge of raising
£15,000 for our chosen charities.
As part of these celebrations, Dine
hosted a magnificent Birthday
Bash at The Mansion, which was
compered by Harry Gration and
included Dine’s most ambitious
menu yet! The evening raised a
huge £16,000!
The Dine team will also be
undertaking a number of other
activities throughout the year,
including the 3 Peaks Challenge
and a Paella in the Park event.

Keeping up the Pace!
We are thrilled to have a close relationship
with Pace and were honoured to be involved
in a number of events over the years. Not
only have we managed the firm’s Christmas
parties for four years running, in the Jubilee
year we catered a lunch for none other
than Her Majesty The Queen and His Royal
Highness The Duke of Edinburgh. Making this
event perfect was a huge responsibility but
the Dine team made every effort to ensure it
ran flawlessly!

Tour de Yorkshire 2014
Fresh from the success of hosting
the magnificent reception for Leeds’
returning Olympians at Leeds Civic Hall,
the team are now looking forward to the
Tour de France which visits Yorkshire next
July. Leeds will host the Grand Départ
from the Town Hall on 5th July towards
Ilkley and Skipton.

Dine at Rise Hall
Innovation, Training & Passion... the Dine way
In order to celebrate 15 years of success,
the Managing Director of Dine, Daniel Gill,
decided to thank the entire Dine team with
a party. The format was easily agreed; the
Dine team have a passion for excellent
food and service, so our 15th bash was
always going to be held where we could
experience cutting edge cuisine. Tom
Aikens Restaurant in London was chosen
and Tom wrote a menu specifically for the
celebration, even inviting Dine’s Group
Executive Chef and a colleague to work in
the kitchen the night before.
Daniel and the Dine Events Team were
delighted to feature on Beeny’s Restoration
Nightmares on Channel 4, providing the event
management and catering for Sarah’s charity
Regency Dinner. Sarah Beeny said: “We have
worked with Dine at Rise Hall for almost a year
now and when we needed an exceptional
dinner preparing for our TV programme,
Dine was the natural choice. We definitely
gave Dine a challenging brief but the team
were fantastic and delivered a truly delicious
Regency feast! Not only did it look fantastic on
camera but the food tasted even better.”

Dine at the Opening of the FA Training Centre
Dine were delighted to work at the prestigious launch
of the new Football Association Training Centre at
St George’s Park, Burton upon Trent with Generate
Events.The star studded event, which showcased the
new state-of-the-art facilities, was opened by Their Royal
Highnesses the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

The Mansion’s Garden Room in Roundhay
Park, Leeds, has proved to be a huge
success for Dine. The team have built an
excellent reputation for great food and
service and have certainly earned their Trip
Advisor Certificate of Excellence – putting
them in the top 10% performing businesses
on the site. The Garden Room’s Afternoon
Tea and Lunches are extremely popular
and the Café offers some of the best views
in Leeds.

The 600 guests included iconic sportsmen and women,
a variety of celebrities and the full England Football
Team. Dine’s brief was to serve the equivalent of 100
canapés every minute for the duration of the 45 minute
service. Guests were delighted when our team served
a spectacular array of canapés on custom made
iPad trays, which displayed a video edited by the FA
especially for the occasion.

Dine sets up in Leeds, wins Earth Centre Contract and begins working at Nostell Priory, Leeds Corn Exchange
and the Victoria Quarter.
2003-2008
Dine runs events in Cannes…launches Dine Hospitality and Dine Simply.
2009
Dine launches at The Mansion, and wins 3 major awards; Best Altered Building and Best Conserved Building
at Leeds Architecture Awards and an award in the RICS Pro - Yorkshire Awards.
2010
Dine wins exclusive Rise Hall contract and Shades of India launches.
2011
Dine features on Channel 4 documentary on Rise Hall. Dine begins the year catering for one of the biggest
weddings in the social calendar with several Royals amongst the guests. Allerton Castle are regional winners
in Wedding TV’s Best of British Wedding Venues.
2012
Dine Consultancy launches, Nostell Priory undergoes £1.5 million revamp, Dine caters for members of the
Royal Family four times this year – including Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge at the launch of St.
George’s Park and Her Majesty the Queen when she visited Pace at Saltaire.
2013 & the future
Dine have a number of exciting projects in the pipeline, including some fantastic additions to our venue
portfolio and the introduction of our new creative e-planning tool to our clients. Of course to ensure that we
stay ahead of our competitors and also to maintain our Dine ethos of making every event we produce extra
special for years to come, we will continue to create and innovate in all dimensions of our business.

The Client – JCT600, Leeds
The Brief
To celebrate the launch of their new showroom, Ferrari
hosted an evening for 200 of their clients and Senior Event
Management team from Italy. The Dine team created
a canapé menu packed with Italian favourites, and
recommended drinks as appropriate.
Dine also took care of the finishing touches for the evening,
providing smart linen, floral arrangements and co-ordinated
the lighting within the showroom.
The Menu
The team of Chefs at Dine love a fresh challenge
and designed a menu that included a variety of
canapé and bowl food items from scratch that
really impressed Ferrari’s top management.
The Drinks
Dine served glasses of Prosecco and bottles of
Peroni, much to the delight of the Italian contingent!
Dine’s Event Manager, Craig had also sourced
some beautiful mirrored glassware to complement
our existing glasses and Perspex trays, which looked
fabulous under the showroom lights.

On this event, it was the small details, such as sourcing Ferrari-red napkins, red skewers,
dressing staff in Ferrari aprons and the bespoke ipad trays that contributed to the success of the evening.

Nostell Priory has undergone something of a transformation with a multi-million
pound investment by the National Trust in 2012. Nostell Priory offers a stunning

Award Winning Allerton Castle
Allerton Castle recently celebrated the completion of the magnificent State
Dining Room, which had been almost completely destroyed by fire in 2005.
The restored, intricately panelled room offers a unique location for smart

Dine Launch at Wentworth Woodhouse
