INTRODUCTION
CHAPTER 1: INTRODUCTION
The Yasnac J300 CNC has two distinct part program memory areas – a base
memory or about 256k on the JMM01-01 base board and we provide a
JMM01-02 for the JCP01 board to enable 2 Megabytes (or 5120 Meters of
tape equivalent) of part program storage – the maximum for the J300.
The available Yasnac J300 memory options are as follows:

J300 MEMORY INSTALLATION
CHAPTER 2: INSTALLATION OVERVIEW
Before starting the installation, power on the control and verify that the
machine tool is in good working order. If the control has a system error
during or after your installation, you will appreciate a backup.
The Yasnac JMM01-02 board contains part programs above those stored
in the main JCP01 board. The JMM01-02 therefore is an additional part
program storage above 160M (64kB) and it can also contain macro
programs for tool changers that are protected from download.
An install of the JMM01-02 board will erase all part programs in both the
JCP01 and the JMM01-02 boards during the REGEN (regenerate) process,
so a complete backup of part program & macro files is necessary. That
said, a full backup is recommended anyway on the supplied PCMCAIA
Flash Memory Card.
Please note that only certain Flash cards below 20 Megabytes will work
for the special ladder reloading maintenance mode we need at one point
of the installation. The Yasnac J300 will work with larger ATA Type 1
Flash Cards, but just not in this mode.
If in doubt, consult your Yasnac manuals, as they are your ultimate
authority on your particular version of control.
J300 RS-232C Serial Specification:
Port 1 = CN02 on the JCP01 Board – PCR 20 Pin High Density Connector – Wire Connecting is labelled C222
Port 2 = CN02 on Operation MDI Panel – fed via CN01 (PANEL) from JCP01 Board

1 x JMM01-2 memory board

Yasnac J300 Mill or Lathe CNC
Before starting the installation, power on the control and verify that the
machine tool is in good working order. Also make sure that you have a
card reader for a PCMCIA Type I flash card on an old laptop or USB card
reader if you want to back up the settings and files to a computer. You can
install using the card and not save back to a computer, but we advise
otherwise.
Important!
1. Download and save the original programs. Parameters, settings, offsets,
etc – after setting the serial port to PCCARD and use the card supplied
mounted on the JCP01 board
a. Power off the NC control. Turn the system switch (the “ball”)
on the JCP01 board to “2” – like a parameter write enable
power on setting;
b. Insert supplied PCMCIA Flash Card in the upper JCP01 slot;
c. Power on the machine and go to P4 MAIN, then hit soft key
IN/OUT, to see the serial settings – write them down;

Card Setup
d. Then cursor over to the UNIT line and highlight “RS232” in the
upper window and hit the PCCARD soft key to select the card
for both inputting and outputting;
