Even though a newcomer to Florida, Goodrich
Quality Theaters has approval from Hillsborough
County, FL for construction of a 66,000 sq.
ft. 14-screen state-of-the-art multiplex in
Riverview, Florida. The Riverview 14 GDX
multiplex will be located at the southwest
corner of I-75 and Gibsonton Drive. The theater
is being developed by Anthony Properties,
Dallas, TX and Goodrich Quality Theaters,
Grand Rapids, MI. The multiplex was designed
by Paradigm Design, Grand Rapids, MI.
Goodrich’s Riverview 14 will feature “GDX” (Giant
Digital eXperience). The two GDX large format
auditoriums will have 70-foot-wide screens with
floor-to-ceiling viewing. The multiplex will have
4K digital projection in its GDX theaters and
will feature recliners from Telescopic Seating
Systems in all 14 auditoriums. Riverview 14 GDX
will have amazing Dolby Atmos sound systems
in all theaters as well as reserved seating in the
14 auditoriums. A spacious lobby will feature
multiple box offices, self-serve ticket counters,
multiple selling stations at the concession stand
and self-serve drink refill stations. The Screen
Pub bar and restaurant with an outside patio
and separate exterior entrance make “dinner
and a movie” easy for moviegoers. May 2016 is
the target for opening.

Mobile App
Plans for launching a Goodrich Quality Theaters mobile app is expected
by mid-summer of 2015. Customers will be able to download the app
from the Apple or Android stores. Customers will easily be able to see
showtimes at their favorite theater, buy tickets, log-in to their loyalty
account and check balances and current offers and promotions.
Goodrich buys one of America’s oldest Drive-ins
Goodrich purchased The Huntington Twin Drive-in theater
in Huntington, IN. In 2015, the Drive-in celebrates its 65th
Anniversary. It will be converted from film presentation to
4K digital projection. Bob Goodrich is not unaccustomed
to drive-ins. In 1969 he purchased his first drive-in theater
in Big Rapids, Michigan followed by three more drive-in
purchases. Goodrich operated drive-ins for over 15 years,
selling its last one in 1985.
Goodrich personnel
attend Vista Conference
in New Zealand
From L to R: Reed Simon, Regional Manager,
Kelly Nash, Marketing Director and Tom
McCall, Accounting Manager attended the
week long Vista conference in Auckland,
New Zealand in February 2015. The team
brought back great insights for initiatives we
can implement in our Vista POS software.
FMG members have always earned points when purchasing tickets. Now they can also earn points
when purchasing concession items. For every dollar spent, members will earn 100 points. Goodrich
has expanded the items available for point redemption and we have added free popcorn offers
for members’ birthdays and membership anniversaries. Custom personalized moviegoer email
campaigns are now possible with Movio. Movio is a loyalty marketing tool that integrates with
Vista, Goodrich’s point of sale (POS) software.
