their vast land holdings to include many thousands of acres and developed a flourishing wine

with the opening of the “Caveau” where 8000 bottles of Capannelle wine’s can be stored
in personalized spaces. Restauranteurs, hoteliers and mere wine lowers can have at their
disposal one of the 60 boxes available. The humidity and temperature are constantly checked
with the certified instruments. Weekly graphs are kept on the estate’s records in order to kept

DAY 8: VENICE: PEARL OF THE LAGOON
·
Morning at disposal to discover Venice.
Venice is an extraordinarily beautiful city. Venice represents an urban landscape so rich in its
lavishness that it can be overwhelming. It seems as if at each step you will encounter some
aspect of the city worth admiring. The major sights like the basilica and piazza of San Marco
are perhaps the city’s most famous.
Venice’s lavishness and fantasy, the result not just of its remarkable buildings but of the very
fact that Venice is a city built on water but a city created more than 1,000 years ago by men
who dared defy the sea, implanting their splendid palaces and churches on mud banks in a
swampy and treacherous lagoon. Gothic styles were adapted to create a new kind of Venetian
Gothic art and architecture. Venice is a unique blend of water, art and romance located four
kilometers from terra firma and two kilometers from the Adriatic Sea. It is a treasure from the
artistic and architectural point of view.

Departure in direction of Vicenza
·
Arrival in Vicenza for an exclusive visit to Villa La Rotonda.
Built on project by Andrea Palladio for bishop Paolo Almerico, around 1570, in 1591 the villa
was bought by the noble family Capra.
From 1911 ‘La Rotonda’ is owned by the family of Count Valmarana who opened it to the
public in 1986.
·
Second halt is scheduled at Villa Valmarana ai Nani for a dedicate visit.
The Villa is a marvellous architectural and artistic site composed by three buildings (the
Palazzina or Owners’ Residence, the Foresteria or Guest-House and the Scuderia or Stables)
and a wide 18th century park.
The Palazzina and the Foresteria have frescoes by Giambattista and Giandomenico Tiepolo,
hired in 1757 by Giustino Valmarana.
The itinerary leads to Vicenza where guests will have lunch
Lunch in Vicenza - Restaurant suggestions: Da Biasio.
·
Next step of the day is Vicenza, like other communities in the region, Romans settled it,
barbarians destroyed, and it finally eased its way into the Veneto in the 15th century as a
member province. And thanks to the influence of the architectural wizardry of Andrea
Palladio (1508-80), Vicenza’s importance continued to grow.
Vicenza, known as the great Palladian city (from the famous 16th-century architect, Andrea
Palladio), is celebrated the world over for its splendid and varied architecture. It also offers
visitors elegant shops and cafes. Palladio was responsible for at least a dozen of its city
palaces, not to mention countless villas in the surrounding countryside. The impressive array
of Palladian buildings belies the fact that the city was heavily bombed during World War
II. Contemporary Vicenza is sleek and smug; the city center, partly bounded by medieval
walls, feels a world away from the city’s current source of wealth, a “silicon valley” electronics
industry.
11-Day Rome, Florence, Maranello, Venice, Verona, Palladian Villas & Milan Ferrari Tour
·
A visit to the Teatro Olimpico, one of Palladio’s main works, is due.
The Teatro Olimpico is the first indoor theater in masonry in the world, with interiors made of
wood, stucco and plaster. It was constructed by architect Andrea Palladio, between 1580 and
1585, when it was inaugurated. Nowadays It is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List
The itinerary leads to Verona, last step of the day.
·
Arrival in Verona and check-in at the splendid Palazzo Victoria 5*.
The mystic and contemplative perfume of the past meets and blends with Palazzo Victoria’s
contemporary and elegant note. Not only a Palazzo but also a Museum where you can still
feel the visible traces of the past. The hotel is the result of millenary heritage of arts, cultures,
architectural innovations and style that perfectly match and “live together”.
·
Time at disposal to visit Verona.
Verona is a vibrant trading center and one of the most prosperous in northern Italy. Its ancient
center boasts many magnificent Roman ruins, second only to those of Rome itself, and fine
palazzo built of rosso di Verona, the local pink-tinged limestone, by the city’s medieval rules.
As a setting for Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, Verona is still a magnet for lovers.
Evening
Meeting in the lobby to reach the location for dinner by feet.
Dinner in Verona - Restaurant suggestions: Il Desco (2 Michelin stars), Antico Caffè Dante
both at a walking distance from the hotel.
·
Return to the hotel after dinner.

11-Day Rome, Florence, Maranello, Venice, Verona, Palladian Villas & Milan Ferrari Tour
·
Arrival in Milan and check-in to the five-star luxury Four Seasons Hotel in Milan.
A dramatically reborn 15th-century convent with a mere 118 rooms and suites, the intimate
Four Seasons is steps from Milan’s couture houses and financial district on the exclusive Via
Gesù between Via Montenapoleone and Via della Spiga.
·
Time at disposal for shopping in the fashionable shops of the town or for a guided tour
(upon request).
Milan, the financial heart of the country, has got an energetic pace that matches its sky-scrapered
counterparts in the rest of the world. Yet the Italian eye for beauty and style never dims.
Milan, however, is not only fashion and business. Art is also of outstanding relevance: during
the Renaissance, the dynastic Visconti and Sforza families commissioned art that endured
long beyond their political intrigues. Among many familiar art masterpieces, Milan is home to
Leonardo da Vinci’s Last Supper. Indeed, architecture too is relevant in Milan: its captivating,
14th century gothic rose-marbled Il Duomo Cathedral is second in size only to Rome’s St.
Peter’s, but exceeding it in grandeur.
Evening
Dinner in Milan - Restaurant suggestions: El Brellin, Gold Restaurant by Dolce&Gabbana.
Overnight at Four Seasons Hotel 5* (Milan).
DAY 11: ARRIVEDERCI ITALIA!
