veces ocurren cosas inesperadas, pocas, la verdad, que
hacen pensar que se impone un poco de cordura en este
mundo caótico. Justo cuando estaba escribiendo las últi
mas líneas de esta revista para lanzarla a la imprenta, me salta un
tweet en el que un gran medio de comunicación asegura que el
proyecto de reforma de la Ley de Propiedad Intelectual (LPI) no pa
sará por el Consejo de Ministros, de momento, por un problema de
agenda de este último.
Unos días antes de esta notificación se celebraban en Madrid
unas interesantes
Cultura en Red, en la que creadores,
gestores y distribuidores de contenidos digitales ponían de mani
fiesto la necesidad urgente de aprobar unas medidas contundentes,
por parte de la Administración, para respetar los derechos de autor y
evitar los altos índices de piratería en España. Durante el transcurso
del encuentro ya se conocía la posibilidad de que un proyecto de
reforma sobre la LPI -no consensuado con las entidades de ges
tión- podría pasar por el siguiente Consejo de Ministros, lo que tenía
enervados a algunos representantes de dichas entidades.
Filtraciones extraoficiales encendían las redes sociales y acapara
ban titulares de los medios de comunicación sobre algunas nuevas
reformas que incluía el proyecto: penalizar por uso privado sin ánimo
de lucro, no contemplar la protección contra el editor de contenidos
sino sólo sobre el autor ... cuestiones en definitiva con las que no es
taban de acuerdo los represantes de las entidades de gestión
di, AlE, CEDRO y SGAE, que decidieron enviar una rotunda carta al
ministro Wert en la que aseguraban que "este anteproyecto retraerá
aún más el peso del sector cultural en el PIB, en lugar de incremen
tarlo" y lamentaban "por encima de otras consideraciones, que el
proceso se haya llevado a cabo a espaldas del mundo de la cultura y
con ausencia absoluta de diálogo':
Estos son los hechos, sin opinión por medio, pero ahora que se
acercan Sant Jordi y la Noche de los libros, donde escucharemos un
millón de historias, me gustaría creer que" Pepito grillo" existe y que
los cuentos que nos han leído de niños, con moraleja final sobre la
neceSidad de diálogo, la honestidad de las personas y el

equipo, se quedaron
a fuego en el cerebro y surgen del in
cosciente para poner fin a acciones que merman nuestra capacidad
de crecimiento y nos impiden desarrollar todo nuestro potenCial para
convertinos realmente en un país que genere y promocione conteni
dos interesantes para el mundo.
