Using unusual color combinations, interesting textures and three dimensional detail to get sophisticated styles.
The tiles are hand painted, building up to five layers of color, adding details, multiple coats of glaze and then fired.
The designs are inspired by both the natural and manmade. I love creating for customers who appreciate unique,
meticulous, high quality work that arrives on time. 2005 is the year that Terry decided to expand the sink offering in
a major way!. Along with the knobs, decos and trims, this makes TERRY TILES a one stop art studio for wonderful
hand painted opportunities.
ARTIST BIO
Terry Kaplan received a bachelors degree in fine arts at the City College of New York and the University of Miami. It
was her passion for working with clay that set in motion over three decades of creations. Terry’s ceramic jewelry was
featured in craft galleries across the country and has won many prestigious awards. In tile design she has pioneered
radical APPLIQUÉ techniques of her own development. The result? Three Dimensionality with a bold new twist!
THE COMPANY
Terry Tiles began over 15 years ago, and started with major custom projects interacting with decorators, builders and
consumers. Her art has illuminated kitchens, bathrooms, swimming pools and has been presented in public commissions
and commercial installations as well.
The company philosophy is to provide outstanding customer service. Terry is a “YES” artist who will collaborate on your
design. Innovative thought and stroke of the brush make many a satisfied customers.
