Welcome
Welcome to the Larry H. Miller Group of Companies. I’d like to share some of the concepts and philosophies that are the cornerstones of our
organization, and to make you aware of all of the entities that comprise the Larry H. Miller Group of Companies, and help each of you understand
your importance to our success.
My parents, Larry and Gail, have five children, 26 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Along with myself, my two brothers, Steve and Bryan,
are all involved in the day-to-day operations of our businesses. My sister, Karen, is involved with our charitable family foundation.
Over the years, my dad developed strong feelings about what this organization stands for, and he spoke about them often. Now it’s my duty to
make sure those values remain part of our culture.
Freedom and free enterprise; we are blessed to be able to conduct business in a free market economy, which is a wonderful environment to
bring new ideas to life, and products to market.
Personal growth and development: As a family and an organization, we believe that helping individuals continually increase their skills and
knowledge is critical to our collective success.
Our mission is to continuously exceed the expectations of our customers, employees and our community.
Our goal is to be the benchmark for excellence in every aspect of our business.
We will strive to deliver perfect service through uncompromising commitments to continuous improvement.
Making our communities better; in order for our companies to be successful in the long run, we must support the communities where we
conduct business and add value wherever and whenever we can.
Developing relationships: We are a relationship-based organization. We need to provide that same level of comfort with everyone we do business
with, whether it’s our customers, lenders, manufacturers, vendors or co-workers.
Building positive things that last: We direct our energy and resources toward things that will endure and have a positive influence on the people
and communities we’re associated with.
Our promise is to create an environment of mutual trust and respect;
to promote growth and personal freedom; to foster and renew teamwork and employee involvement;
and to demand the highest ethical standard from ourselves and others.
Being a force for good in the world; we certainly don’t claim to be perfect, but when faced with the opportunity, as an organization, we try to do
what we can to make the world a little better.
We believe people are our most important resource and the foundation of our success.
In closing, I’d like to make you aware of two things that we all have in common, regardless of the role we fill within the organization. The first is
our duty to protect the legal, financial and moral well being of the company. The second is to be a teacher. In order for the organization to grow,
we must always be developing our next generation of leadership. That’s why it’s so important for us to share what we learn with our coworkers
when appropriate.
Philanthropy. Larry H. Miller Charities is funded in part by monthly contributions from each Larry H. Miller business, by charitable events hosted
throughout our organization, and by our employees, who make contributions through a voluntary program called Give Us Five. All of the money
contributed stays in the community it came from.
On behalf of the Miller family and the executive team, I welcome you. Thank you for being a part of us.
Sincerely,
Greg Miller
CEO
About Us
From the very beginning, Larry H. Miller had the philosophy: “Have a little fun, make a little money and take care of the customer.”
This belief is what has motivated thousands of employees for decades and propelled a simple beginning in the automotive parts
industry to one of the largest privately-owned companies in the western United States.

Larry H. Miller was born in 1944 and grew up in the Capitol Hill area of Salt Lake City. Following his graduation from West High,
Miller began working construction until 1964 when he went to work for American Auto Parts.
In 1966, he became the parts manager at a Utah auto dealer, and then later moved to Denver to work as the parts manager for two
Denver Toyota dealerships. He was soon promoted to operations manager over five Toyota stores.
Among his many accomplishments, Miller received awards from the American Import Auto Dealers Association and Sports
Illustrated for his work in the automobile industry. In 1992, Miller was honored by the International Softball Congress when he
was inducted into the ISC Hall of Fame as one of the top pitchers in the country. He was also awarded honorary doctorate
degrees from the University of Utah, Weber State University, Salt Lake Community College, and Utah Valley State College. He
was named Utah’s 1997 Master Entrepreneur of the Year and received numerous other honors from business, civic, and non-profit
organizations. In 2006 he received the prestigious “Giant In Our City” Award from the Salt Lake City Chamber of Commerce.

The Larry H. Miller Group of Companies
The Larry H. Miller Group of Companies began on May 1, 1979 when Larry, and Gail purchased their first Toyota dealership. The
store opened as Larry H. Miller Toyota in Murray, Utah. The Larry H. Miller Group of Companies now encompasses more than 80
businesses and properties operating in 46 states. These businesses fall into six primary areas: automotive, finance, insurance, real
estate, sports and retail.

Corporation
Automotive related companies include 53 dealerships in six western states, representing 20 different automotive brands; Total
Care Auto, which offers consumers service and coverage contracts to protect and maintain their home and vehicle; and Prestige
Financial, which provides consumers with financing solutions.
Because of a strong commitment to the community, the Millers successfully added a collection of non-automotive businesses to
the organization, including the NBA’s Utah Jazz; MiLB Triple-A Salt Lake Bees; the world-renowned Miller Motorsports Park; Miller
Performance; Fanzz sports stores; EnergySolutions Arena; KJZZ-TV and radio station, 1280 The Zone; Megaplex movie theatres
and more.
Several other businesses were established to support the work of the Group, such as Saxton Horne Communications, a full-service
advertising and communications agency, and Miller Family Real Estate, which manages the Group’s real estate holdings and
construction projects.
The Larry H. Miller Group of Companies has the ability to continue to build on its success and give back to the communities in
which it does business by providing jobs, education and charitable giving through many philanthropic efforts, such as Larry H.
Miller Charities, the Larry H. and Gail Miller Family Foundation, Driven 2 Teach program, the Larry H. Miller Education Foundation,
and many community events such as the Christmas Carole Sing-Along and the Larry H. Miller Day Of Service.
With so much evolving and changing since the first dealership opened its doors, one thing remains constant, the continuing
mission to exceed the expectations of customers, employees, and the community as a whole. This unyielding goal to be the
benchmark for excellence in every aspect of business is what has propelled the Larry H. Miller Group of Companies to become
what it is today. And it is this mission and philosophy that will undoubtedly continue to move it forward.

Gail and her late husband Larry grew their
businesses into one of the largest privately
owned companies in the United States with
annual revenues of more than $4.5 billion on $2.5
billion in assets. Beginning with the purchase of
Toyota of Murray (Utah) in 1979, the Larry H. Miller Group is now comprised
of more than 80 businesses and properties, operating in 46 states and
employing nearly 10,000 people. This includes 53 automobile dealerships,
more than 100 sports apparel retail stores, 17 movie theatre complexes, the
Utah Jazz, the Salt Lake Bees, EnergySolutions Arena, Miller Motorsports
Park, television and radio stations and several other automotive, financial,
sports, real estate, retail and hospitality companies.
Gail has a strong legacy of giving back to the communities where the LHM
Group conducts business. This includes financial contributions, as well as
her time and service and that of Group employees. Gail and Larry created
the Larry H. Miller Education Foundation, which awards college and trade
school scholarships; the Driven 2 Teach program, which takes Utah high
school American history teachers to important historical sites throughout the
United States for hands-on learning seminars; and Larry H. Miller Charities,
which donates to qualified non-profit organizations. Since Larry’s passing,
Gail has established the Larry H. & Gail Miller Family Foundation, which
supports religious, charitable, scientific, literary and educational programs.
Gail is the chair of the board of trustees of Salt Lake Community College,
serves on the National Advisory Council at the University of Utah, and
sits on the board of trustees for Intermountain Healthcare. She holds an
honorary alumna award from Brigham Young University and is a member
of its President’s Leadership Council. Gail is the recipient of two honorary
degrees – a Doctor of Humanities from Weber State University and a Doctor
of Humane Letters from Salt Lake Community College. In 2012, the Salt Lake
Chamber bestowed upon her the Athena Award in recognition of her lifetime
achievements in both business and the community. In 2009, Gail was named
the Salt Lake Tribune’s Most Influential Sports Figure in Utah.
Gail and her husband Kim Wilson enjoy spending time with their combined
nine children, thirty-four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Gregory S. “Greg” Miller is chief executive
officer of the Larry H. Miller Group of Companies
(LHM Group), a privately owned family business
empire with annual revenues of nearly $4.5
billion on more than $2.5 billion in assets. Miller
is responsible for the overall corporate strategy,
direction and management of the LHM Group,
which is comprised of more than 80 businesses
and properties operating in 46 U.S. states and employing nearly 10,000
people. This includes 53 automobile dealerships, more than 100 sports
apparel retail stores, 17 movie theatre complexes, the Utah Jazz, the Salt
Lake Bees, EnergySolutions Arena, Miller Motorsports Park, television and
radio stations and several other automotive, financial, sports, real estate,
retail and hospitality companies.
Miller was promoted to his current position in July 2008, and has worked in the
family business since 1979 when his father, Larry, purchased Toyota of Murray.
Miller, who was 13 years old at the time, began his career by sweeping floors
and working in the parts department.
Miller assumed increasing levels of responsibility and has filled a series of
leadership positions during his 35-years of employment with the LHM Group.
Previous roles include managing several multi-million dollar construction
projects, serving as general manager of some of the company’s most
successful auto dealerships, and overseeing the operation of the $100 million
Miller Motorsports Park, a premier motorsports facility in North America.
Miller serves on several community boards and is currently the chair of the Utah
Motor Vehicle Enforcement Division Advisory Board. He is a member of the
New Car Dealers Association of Utah advisory committee; champions Cause for
Hope which enables people in developing countries to improve their lives and
become self-reliant; and sits on the boards for the Utah Symphony and Opera,
the World Trade Center of Utah, and the NBA Board of Governors. Miller is a
Utah Highway Patrol Honorary Colonel, chairman of the Beehive Drive, raising
funds for education in small communities throughout Utah, and serves on the
Utah State Governor’s Advisory Council.
Miller enjoys adventure travel and collecting Toyota Land Cruisers and has
brought the two together with Expeditions 7, a trek across seven continents
in three Land Cruisers. In September 2013, Miller and his expedition team
successfully circumnavigated the northern hemisphere driving approximately
18,000 miles across North America, Europe and Asia. He’s looking forward to
completing his journey in South America in 2014.
Miller and his wife Heidi are the parents of six children and have four grandchildren.

Miller Family Philanthropy
Larry H. Miller built a legacy of giving back to the communities where he and his companies
conducted business. Today, his wish to “Go about doing good until there is too much good in
the world” is what inspires Gail Miller and the Miller family, as well as the entire Larry H. Miller
Group of Companies and its employees to continue the legacy he started.
The Larry H. Miller Education Foundation
Larry H. and Gail Miller Family Foundation
The Larry H. & Gail Miller Family Foundation was formed in 2007 to allow the philanthropic spirit, so graciously established by Larry and Gail within their
businesses, to continue with generations to come. The foundation looks to support religious, charitable, scientific, literary and educational purposes.
The Family Foundation has assisted many worthy nonprofit organizations in recent years, including:
Huntsman Cancer Institute
Primary Children’s Medical Center
American Red Cross
American Cancer Society
American Diabetes Association
Larry H. Miller Charities
Formed in 1995, Larry H. Miller Charities (LHM Charities) is a nonprofit foundation that functions as the charitable arm of the Larry H. Miller Group of
Companies. Assistance from the foundation is directed toward groups and programs based in the communities where Miller companies conduct business.
Attention purposely focuses on issues that affect women and children, with an emphasis on health and education.
The purpose of the Larry H. Miller Education Foundation is to provide educational assistance to selected dependents of full-time employees of the Larry H.
Miller Group of Companies. Since its creation in 1996, the foundation has helped over 3,000 students.
Funding for LHM Charities enables the foundation to continue making an impact. Funds are generated, in large part, through LHM companies and employee
contributions, as well as donations from the general public through fundraisers in the community. These contributions remain in the state where they were
donated to benefit the local community.
Scholarship funds are made available for post-high school education, excluding graduate school programs. Students must meet the minimum standards
for admission to the accredited educational institution they plan to attend, must maintain a 2.5 grade point average, and must carry the required number of
credits each semester or quarter to be considered full-time at their school in order to maintain the scholarship.
Since its inception, Larry H. Miller Charities has assisted a multitude of organizations and worthy causes.
The scholarship covers the student’s tuition and book costs up to a certain amount for each school year they are accepted into the scholarship
program. The Larry H. Miller Education Foundation has grown from 15 students in its first year to helping over 300 students currently enrolled in the
scholarship program.

Larry H. Miller Day of Service
Each year the Larry H. Miller Group of Companies pays tribute to their founder, the late Larry H. Miller,
on April 26th, his birthday, by participating in community service projects in six Western states.
Employees in Utah, Arizona, Idaho, Colorado, New Mexico and Washington volunteer for several hours
that day every year to assist organizations such as local boys & girls clubs, food and clothing banks,
emergency shelters and other community agencies. Service provided benefits at-risk youth, senior
citizens, families of critically ill children, domestic abuse victims, individuals in need of food and shelter,
and many others.
Gail Miller, owner of the LHM Group, said, “Larry understood the importance of giving back to the community and made it an integral part of his life.
Participating in this day of service is a wonderful way for our organization to carry on his legacy of helping others.”

Larry H. Miller Christmas Carole Sing-Along
For over 14 years, the Larry H. Miller family has hosted the Christmas Carole Sing-Along, a special evening of beautiful
music and entertainment provided by conductor Robert C. Bowden and the Generations of Sound Orchestra.
This immensely-popular concert was previously hosted at the Salt Lake Tabernacle on Temple Square from 1985 to 1998.
With its move to the EnergySolutions Arena in 1999, the Christmas Carole Sing-Along continues to provide an opportunity
to spend time with those we love while enjoying the sights and sounds of the holidays in downtown Salt Lake City.
It is truly amazing how the power of music makes the holiday season so much more meaningful. As thousands of people
join together in song, it helps remind us of the brotherhood we all share.
