Description of countries
Estonia
(Article by: redmadness7)
Estonia, officially the Republic of Estonia, is a state
in the Baltic region of Northern Europe. It is
bordered to the north by the Gulf of Finland, to the
west by the Baltic Sea, to the south by Latvia (343
km), and to the east by the Lake Peipsi and the
Russian Federation (338.6 km). Across the Baltic
Sea lies Sweden in the west and Finland in the north.
The territory of Estonia covers 45,227 km2 (17,462
sq mi), and is influenced by a territory of Estonia
covers 45,227 km2 (17,462 sq mi), and is influenced
by a temperate seasonal climate. The Estonians are a
Finnic people, and the official language, Estonian, is
closely related to Finnish.
The Estonian men's national basketball team is in the
T-75th place in the FIBA World ranking. Estonia has
participated four times in European Championships
(1937, 1939, 1993, 2001), and one time in the
Olympic Games of 1936 without winning any medal
in these competitions.
Estonia is a democratic parliamentary republic and is
divided into 15 counties. The capital and largest city
is Tallinn. With a population of 1.34 million, Estonia
is one of the least-populous members of the
European Union, Eurozone and NATO. Today,
Estonia has the highest GDP per person among
former Soviet republics. Estonia is listed as a "HighIncome Economy" by the World Bank, as an
"advanced economy" by the International Monetary
Fund and the country is an OECD member. The
United Nations lists Estonia as a developed country
with a Human Development Index of "Very High".
The country is also ranked highly for press freedom,
economic freedom, democracy and political freedom
and education.
In the World League the best Estonian teams, are
playing in the fourth division, trying very hard to
ascend to the higher ones.
Estonian community in Bballzone consisting 4
divisions (15 leagues), with a total of 180 clubs.
Eesti.1.1 started at Season 7 and the most successful
team is "Harvick.Inc." with 6 total titles, but last
season's winner was the team "Tarbatu".
The highest sponsored team in Estonian leagues is
the team "Tartu Rock1" which is getting 55463 Eu.
The best Estonian player is Homer j. Simpson (SF,
205cm, 30y.) who is playing for the club "The
Simpsons" in Eesti.1.1 league and his overall rating
is 352. He is also the best player playing in Estonian
leagues.
The most well-paid Estonian player is Markus
Kikkatalo (C, 216cm, 28y.) who is playing for the
club "BC Šilainiai" in Lietuva.1.1 league with his
overall rating at 328 by getting a salary of 47750 Eu.
Bballzone Time 3
We had the opportunity to have a talk with jamma −
the manager of "Tarbatu", who managed to win the
last championship title in Eesti.1.1 league.
redmadness7: Hello. Please introduce yourself.
jamma: I am Karl Kask and I come from Estonia. I
like basketball, football and strategy.
redmadness7: How did you start playing this
manager game?
jamma: I was playing online football in
ManagerLeague.com and I saw a commercial for
some basketball managing game. I wanted to try it
but I didn't like that game. Then I searched in
Google for some more basketball manager games.
One of them was bballzone.net.
redmadness7: What do you think about this
manager game? Which features of the game do you
like and which you don't?
have 2 more seasons and they can help my team to
be ascended from World 4th League to World 3rd
League. I guess the only motivation would be to beat
the Estonian all-time best place in World League,
which in my best guess is the World League 2.2 30th
place. But for that goal the team has to be built up
with a new generation of players. And it is hard with
so many Lithuanian teams and players. The new rule
with the special sponsors have helped, but not
enough yet. I haven't experienced the effect of the
newest rule about the highest salary players, but it
sounds promising. I have built my team considering
that I would have one good player for each position.
Then several players with lower salaries, which can
play substitute roles. And finally I have tried to raise
up younger players for future use. But I have no
experience with it yet, as I haven't reached the reassigning stage yet. These young players in theory
should be the next generation, which will carry the
team to its greatness.
redmadness7: Do you play basketball in your free
time? Is basketball your favourite sport?
jamma: I have tried many different games, but only
stayed in Bballzone, because in this game there is
one match every day, a relatively fast season (2
months), a good system for training players and
possibility for quick success in lower leagues. I like
Bballzone the most.
jamma: Basketball is my favorite sport and I have
played it in national level in junior classes. But then
I got injured and now I am only watching it from
tribune and I am cheering for Estonian teams of
course in closer leagues.
redmadness7: Tell us something about your team
and your goals for the future.
redmadness7: Which is your favorite team and who
is your favorite player?
jamma: I started in the beginning of the season 22. I
read the manual and the forum a lot and in lower
leagues I won 71 games in a row. In the middle of
the season 23 I got my first loss. Then I set a goal to
myself and said it loud in a press-conference, that I
can win National League and World 5th League. In
the 24th season I won National League and in the
25th season I won World 5th League. This all was
possible mainly because of the players which I have
chosen in season 23. Four of my starting five today
were bought in that season. This generation will
jamma: I don't care so much about the European
basketball, but if I do watch it, I cheer for the
Lithuanian teams. In NBA I liked before a long time
Jordan and his teammates and cheered for Bulls, but
now I am mostly a Lakers fan. More than specific
leagues I like to watch the Olympic Games, the
World Championships and
the
European
Championships. I am always cheering for Lithuania.
redmadness7: Thank you and have a good game.
jamma: Thank you too.

In season 25 there was an historic moment for the World League championships. "Naviglio Ticinese" became the
first non-Lithuanian team which managed to win the World League title. "Linksmai.lt" and "R.I.P." won the silver
and bronze medal respectively.
This season was a tough one for every team, especially for them outside Lithuania, and the interesting fact is
that number of them was increased for the next season as long as there was two relegations and just only one
promotion for non-Lithuanian teams to World League.1.1.
Did you know that:
Players passed a soccer ball down the
floor. The first basketball was brown
and the orange basketball associated
with today's game was introduced in
the 1950s.

Who are you? What did you do? What did people
think of you?

The 1st person said, "I'm Denny Crum, I was 2nd
best coach in the nation. I won 2 national

The next person said, "I'm Rick Pitino. I was the 3rd
best coach in the nation. I won an SEC
