architecture, gastronomy and spectacular scenery.
You will be part of a real Ferrari team, enjoying the possibility to personally
drive the latest Ferraris. Travelling up to over one thousand kilometres, you
can accelerate through the steep, winding roads of Lazio, Umbria and Tuscany,
along the route of the legendary Mille Miglia race, putting your driving skills to
the ultimate test.
But once you got out of the car, you temporarily leave the Ferrari experience
behind you and immerse yourself in a succession of very particular moments
- with your entire privacy guaranteed.
As a relaxing counterpart to the intensity of driving your Ferrari, all our journeys
include wellness programmes at the Fonteverde Natural Spa Resort, a worldclass spa hotel located in the midst of the rolling hills of the Val d’Orcia.
In the meantime, the Italy By Ferrari staff takes care of the Ferraris without your
even noticing it. The next morning, find your car at the entrance of the hotel,
neat and clean, refilled and checked up, ready to start for some more exciting
driving throughout further dazzling landscapes.

DAY 1: Welcome to Rome, the eternal city
Italy By Ferrari has chosen Rome, this grandiose and fascinating location full of history as the starting point of your Ferrari Experience!
You will be met at Rome - Fiumicino airport and transferred by limousine to
the splendid Hotel De Russie, at Piazza del Popolo in the heart of Rome. Here
you can take a rest before setting out on an initial tour of the wonders of the
‘Eternal City’.

DAY 2: La Dolce Vita in Rome
You have the choice of a guided tour of Rome’s most beautiful sights, the
Coliseum, the Spanish Steps, the Trevi Fountain and the Vatican or you are of
course free to explore on your own.
Visit the Ferrari store as well and capture the right mood for tomorrow’s encounter with the Prancing Horse!
Moreover, a 3-hour tour of Rome by private car will be available for you all day.
Whether you require information on the ancient wonders of Rome or simply
advice on where to find the finest shops, our staff is available to help you get
the most out of your stay in this beautiful city.
In the late afternoon, meet with your private Tour Director who will take you
through the details of your journey and answer any questions you may have.
Above all, he will introduce you into the world of Ferrari, explaining to you
the peculiarities of sport-car driving, the differences between the various
models (8-cylinder, 12-cylinder, Spider), etc.

DAY 3: Following the Mille Miglia route
Morning
After breakfast, transfer by limousine from your hotel to Civitavecchia’s Porto
Riva di Traiano tourist harbour on the Roman coast.
Welcome aperitif in the exclusive Sporting Yacht Club followed by a dedicated Ferrari briefing, with the cars scenically displayed in front of the yachts
Your private Tour Director will clarify the finer details of the controls of your
Ferrari, above all how to handle the F1 paddle gear-shifting behind the steering wheel.
In the meantime, the Security Manager and his VIP shuttle leave with your
luggage: you will find it later on in your hotel room.
Ferrari practice-drive (first contact with the Ferraris).
Departure by Ferrari for the Fonteverde Natural Spa Resort in San Casciano dei Bagni (province of Siena).
Pleasant drive along the panoramic and enchanting roads of the mythical
Mille Miglia, passing Viterbo, Bolsena, Acquapendente, Radicofani, etc. During
the whole journey, the Ferraris and the Tour Director’s Alfa Romeo will be constantly in touch by walkie-talkie.
Halt for lunch at Lake Bolsena at Restaurant La Pineta.
Afternoon
Arrival and check-in at the Fonteverde Natural Spa Resort.
Spa & Relax: the mineral-rich, natural warm spring waters that emerge here
have multiple therapeutic benefits for the organism. Take advantage of the
thermal pool, the bioaquam® circuit (with its various hydromassages) or any
other spa treatment offered by this highly reputable spa resort set in the midst
of the rolling hills of the Val d’Orcia (southern Tuscany).

DAY 4: Val d’Orcia Ferrari tour (Bagno Vignoni - Pienza - Montepulciano - Montalcino)

Breakfast
Departure by Ferrari for a tour of the magnificent Val d’Orcia.
Discovery of the picturesque and the breathtaking panorama offered by
the valley landscape, enriched by pure driving pleasure of roads around the
amazing succession of rolling hills and never-ending curves!
At the wheel of his Alfa Romeo, Red Travel’s Tour Director guides you through
a colourful landscape passing typical towns and villages, whose charming
appeal expresses the very soul of the Val d’Orcia.
First stop is Bagno Vignoni, whose characteristic, besides the thermal waters flowing in the main square at 52 °C (126 °F), is its unchanged mediaeval
structure.
Second stop is Pienza, Pope Pius’ II birthplace, located high on a hillside.
Meant to be the ideal Renaissance town, Pienza comprises such beauties as
a white stone cathedral, Palazzo Piccolomini with its fine courtyard, Palazzo
Borgia, a graceful Piazza…
The tour heads towards Montepulciano, archetypical Tuscan mediaeval town
built at the summit of a hill as well and surrounded by walls and fortifications.
The place is famous for its Vino Nobile, one of Italy’s major red wines.

Afternoon
Next stage is Montalcino, reached meandering through the vineyards that
provide the grapes for the production of the famous Brunello. You will taste
this other high-class red wine at the estate of Biondi Santi after having visited
the cellar of this masterful wine producer.
Visit of the historical centre of Montalcino with its fort, the churches of
Sant’Agostino and Sant’Egidio.

Arrival at the Fonteverde Natural Spa Resort.

Dinner at “La Frateria di Padre Eligio” (Cetona), 25 minutes from Fonteverde Hotel,
which has been born in one of the most beautiful monuments ever built by
men: St. Francis’ convent, founded by St. Francis in 1212, an unchanged example of the life in convent in the Dark Ages.

DAY 5: Florence, the cradle of the Renaissance

After breakfast, departure by Ferrari for Florence.
2-hour drive to reach Florence, world-famous for such places as Palazzo Vecchio, Santa Maria Novella, Boboli Gardens, Ponte Vecchio and Uffizi Gallery’s
wealth of masterpieces.
Arrival in Florence.
Guided visit of the historical centre.
Birthplace of the Renaissance, Florence is a jewel in Italy’s crown with architectural treasures literally around every corner. The capital of Tuscany plays
host to some of the world’s most beautiful museums and galleries housing
works of art by Da Vinci, Michelangelo, Giotto and Botticelli. The city of Lorenzo
the Magnificent, Dante and Brunelleschi is truly full of magic.

Dinner at Restaurant Il Poggio (Celle sul Rigo). This excellent restaurant, located
inside a farm, offers you the hospitality of our Sienese countryside, where an
authentic rustic lifestyle provides a natural setting. The restaurant where one
can savor Tuscan cuisine with a special creative flair, is on the ground floor of
the Casale.

DAY 6: Siena, a Middle-Age gem, and Argentario, on the Tuscan coast
Morning
After breakfast, departure by Ferrari for Siena.
Next milestones of the famous Mille Miglia: San Quirico d’Orcia, Buonconvento, Siena.
Driving along this historical route, you will reach Siena, an unspoiled mediaeval city, world-renowned for its Palio, a horse race around the city’s seashelllike Piazza del Campo. Siena’s other intact gems from the Middle Age include
the Town Hall (Palazzo Pubblico) and the Torre dei Mangia (1340), which is
about as high as the Cathedral.
Lunch in one of Siena’s prestigious restaurants.
Italy By Ferrari suggestion: Antica Trattoria Botteganova (Siena, 1 Michelin star).
Afternoon
Heading towards Argentario, on the Tuscan coast.
Arrival and check-in at Relais & Chateaux Hotel Il Pellicano, a magnificent retreat
on the Tuscan coast, surrounded by centuries-old olive trees set in an extensive garden.
The Argentario Peninsula is plenty of many beautiful spots to see in a short
time: only 7 miles separate Cala Galera from the tiny island of Giannutri, home
of thousands of seagulls, and only 13 miles away is the lively island of Giglio.
For those who like to cruise «off-the-beaten tracks», the waters of the preserved
marine area of the island of Montecristo are certainly worth a detour.

Today, you can drive up to 250 km in Ferrari
DAY 7: Enjoying Mediterranean Sea
Whole day at your disposal to enjoy the Italian coast, with a dip in the sea from
the private beach, a swim in the indoor pool or a relaxing walk on the Tyrrhenian coast.
On request: tour by private boat around the Argentario cape or to the nearby
islands of Giglio and Giannutri.
DAY 8: Arrivederci Italia
An entire day devoted to taking it easy before you return home.
Just the right way to say goodbye to Italy before our limousine takes you out
to Rome - Fiumicino airport for your return flight.
