specific kind, please feel free to bring it, it shouldn’t be larger than 18” x
24” due to classroom size. There is a lot of cutting involved.

If you can’t decide, it never hurts to have a few extra fat quarters, but it can
be made with 16.

Pre-Cutting Notes/General Instructions for all Fabrics:
 All fabric should be applied with Mary Ellen’s Best Press or starch alternate before cutting.
 Keep the selvage on your WOF and HWOF strips.
Legend:


WOF – Width of Fabric, cut selvage to selvage.
HWOF – Half width of Fabric, typically cut from a Fat Quarter, cut selvage to cut edge.
Cutting Instructions for Blocks: NOTE with the exception of Lemoynes as Triangles, the pattern calls for you to make 2
of each block. All Blocks are to be made following the instructions for 12” Finished Blocks
For Lemoynes as Triangles; You will be making 24 blocks total; 14 Blocks from strips you will gather as you go through
the cutting instructions for the other blocks. Plus, for most of the Blocks you will be making 4 extra units of both the
“A”s and “B”s throughout the block making process which will net you enough units to make the remaining 10 blocks.
