TRANSFERING DATA – LOWRANCE HDS

This will guide you through transferring waypoints to or from a Lowrance HDS unit.
To transfer waypoints from your HDS unit (Export) to the SD card so they can be loaded on
another unit. Press PAGES
Use the right arrow key to scroll to the last option in the carousel which is the Utilities menu.
Then scroll down to FILES and press ENT to select.

Scroll down to Waypoints, Routes, and Trails and press ENT
Press MENU, select Export, and press ENT

Select the format you would like to export the user data in. If you are transferring to another
HDS unit select version 4. If you are transferring to an older Lowrance unit like LCX or LMS
select either version 2 or 3 (if version 3 doesn’t work, version 2 should work). If you are
transferring to another brand that accepts GPX format (ex. Garmin) select GPX.
Highlight MEMORY CARD as the destination folder, press MENU, then select OK, and press
ENT

Enter a name for the file buy using the arrow keys and ENT key to select each letter to spell the
name. Use the arrow keys to move to OK and press ENT to save the file.
Once it is done you will be able select Memory Card and see the file you just saved on the card.
To save data from a card to the unit (Import), follow the same steps to bring you to the FILES
menu. Highlight the Memory Card and press ENT to expand the selection.

Scroll down to the file you wish to import (in this case WaypointsRoutesTrails.usr) and press
Menu. Select IMPORT and press ENT
Confirm your selection by selecting OK and pressing ENT
