vintage collectibles and memorabilia
from the past. We’ll spend an hour
and a half here.
We then check-in to our rooms at the
‘Grand Hyatt Erawan Hotel’ in the
heart of Bangkok. After a quick
freshen-up we’ll take the elevated
Skytrain, to Surasak Station for dinner
at the famous Blue Elephant
Restaurant. Housed in a charming
century old building, The Blue
Elephant is the brainchild of World
renowned Chef Khun Nooror Sominy
Steppe and offers creative & authentic
Thai cuisine as well as it’s state of the
art cooking school.

After breakfast in our hotel, we head
to ‘Thai Home Industries’. Residing

Next stop is the much-loved ‘Jim
Thompson Factory Sales Outlet’ –
THE standard for Thai silk. We then
head to Almeta, whose silk products
are very top of the range.
In the afternoon, we’ll enjoy a semivegetarian lunch at Na Aroon.
Afterwards, we’ll proceed to Siam
Paragon, Siam Discovery Center and
Gaysorn for shopping. Designer

“Even with a map, it's easy to get turned around in the
mind-boggling array of goods, but this is also part of the
joy that Chatuchak has to offer—wandering through the
maze of vendors and suddenly stumbling upon the
beautiful teak table, handmade skirt, or colorful paper
lamp you'd been seeking.” (Fodors)
