Palazzani proposals aim to concreteness:

auma is the most important international event in Europe to
show the technological evolutions and developments applied to
earth moving and aerial sectors. An appointment that Palazzani
Industrie has always considered fundamental to present the most recent
results of an evolutionary process resulting from the engineering efforts
of its staff. Palazzani reconfirms the main features of their machines
(reliability and customization), applied to new models designed and
manufactured to meet the increasingly demanding market needs.
Aerial Platform on tractor VJ 10.5:
versatility at first glance
Great attention to the innovative VJ 10.5 an aerial platforms mounted on
a wheel loader PL145, with telescopic boom and basket, for aerial work
up to 10.5 m. On the Northern European markets similar machines
already exist, with frontal use possibility only. Palazzani offers a more
complete product, applying the professional knowledge in lifting and the
technology used in its platforms to a wheel loader, which will find useful
applications in construction and agriculture.
The new equipment VJ 10.5 allows the user to perform aerial work at
180°, without changing set up and with the stabilizers down, with the
basket parallel to the wall of intervention. VJ 10.5 is equipped with all
safety devices required by the normative and it is very practical to place
and use.
This solution requires very little maintenance over time. The characteristic
of being applied to any wheel loader, backhoe loader, telescopic handler
and tractor, make VJ 10.5 suitable for fast transfers on road in full
autonomy, to satisfy all interventions within the same day. When VJ
10.5 is not used, it can be removed in a few seconds to use the
machine, with all its original equipments.

Evolution in Paload range
Palazzani will launch the new wheel loader with telescopic boom PT
192: 9.2 ton with 1200 mm of extension, the first model of the future
skyline PT generation. The technology and experience of the actual PT
72 and PT 82 models have been transferred on the skyline PL 195
and the result is a modern machine of larger size, which maintains
the “performance” of a traditional wheel loader while booms are
retracted, and which reaches big heights of unloading with its telescopic
extended: the same of machines of higher category. Agriculture and

With the presentation of the new Ragno TSJ 25, Palazzani reconfirms
the evolution characterizing the recent generation of these machines:
versatility, lightness, compact dimensions, and easy usability. Palazzani
engineering has made a further step through new solutions that
simply bring to the full control of the machine, using one finger only.
Among the main characteristics of this new generation of Spiders, the
outreach systems is the most important feature to be evidenced. This
system selects automatically the optimal working area in relation to the
positioning of all stabilizers. For example, by settling the stabilizers in the
narrow position, the machine has the maximum performance in front
and in the rear area and a shorter outreach on its side. Otherwise, if
the stabilizers are positioned only on one side in the wide position, the

distilleries are the more common applications, for feeding hoppers, in
ecology, to load recycling of plastic material on the conveyor belts that
feed the packing presses, and in industry, for scrap aluminium loading
in foundry furnaces. PT 192 will be appreciated for its kinematics, its
compactness and performances, its modified hydraulics and for sure
for the characteristics of skyline machines: design and aggressive look,
comfortable and wide cabin, good ergonomic, excellent visibility.
With the introduction of the boom “PT concept” in the range Skyline, the
new PT 192 will enter the market as a valid machine which will receive
sure success.

of the machine in all operating conditions, even the most demanding.
For an easy and simple use, RAGNO TSJ 25 is equipped with a color
touch screen display. This is an interface with the electronic control of
the entire equipment and gives the user a very advanced diagnostics of
the whole machine. In addition, the system highlights any anomalies of
the sensors, it detects a possible error of the operator by providing the
maneuver with related recommendations.
Thanks to an hydraulic distributor with innovative flow sharing technology,
it is possible to perform multiple operations at the same time (more than
three), with gentle movements, without giving the operator a sense of
instability or discomfort in the cage.

The ecological sites, as well as biogas plants,
require adequate handling machines: PL
195, recently supplied to the Community of
Val di Sole, located in Malè (North of Italy),
is a good example showing what this loader
can do in terms of compactness, versatility
and power.
T
he Community of Val di Sole is located in one of the most
fascinating areas in the Alps, at the border between Adamello
mountains and the large fruit fields reaching the Adige valley. A
place of great natural beauty, which needs to maintain a well balanced
relationship between human settlements and ecosystems.
The main need is the waste collection, treatment and destruction. The
Community of Val di Sole includes 14 municipalities and manages the
ecological site in Malé, which also incorporates a landfill structured to
produce biogas.
The various activities of this Community is the traditional handling
of various types of waste, including recyclable waste, as well as the
biomass handling and loading. It is important to note that in this Alpine
valley winter season is quite long, with frequent and abundant snowfall.
When the technical office of the Community of Val di Sole decided
to buy a new loader for aggregates handling and operations at the
ecological site, the staff had evaluated with great attention the machines
offered by the market.
The right solution was Paload PL 195, a machine chosen for its

ability to combine compactness and low power consumption, with an
extraordinary versatility of use.
Thanks to the wide range of its optional equipments, it’s able to fulfill all
needs of this wide ecological site in short time and in the best way, from
snow clearing, to different materials handling.

hat can a Ragno do for Rome? Everything and more! You can
see it every day, in the chaotic traffic of the Italian capital, in
the narrow and hystorical streets of Roman castles. That’s the
answer of Roberto Gentilezza, Sales Manager of NG AIR Srl, Palazzani
dealer in Rome, a family Company grew up with managerial mentality,
based on the reliability and efficiency of its service, a well estimated

providing more comfort, health and safety
to Skyline generation machines.
handling monitoring, thanks to the high visibility allowed by large glass
perimetric areas. The upper “Skyline” glass allows the driver to see the
bucket totally, even with the arm at max extension (on PT models),
without having to lean forward with his shoulders.
These cabins are of integral cell type, connected to the chassis by means
of rubber large shock absorbers, which allow an optimal isolation from
vibration and heat from the engine compartment. Moreover, the different
types of sound-absorbing material applied, the use of a polyurethane
footrest for high sound absorption and the correct positioning of the
components inside the engine compartment, reduce the interior noise
level in respect to the past, and allow Palazzani to be aligned with the
biggest competitors. This is also a clear protection of the operator’s
health, together with a good feeling of comfort during the entire stay
on the machine.
T
he cabins mounted on Paload Skyline machines are designed
to allow the operator to work with high productivity all day long,
thanks to the high standards of comfort and safety applied.
Cabins are Rops/Fops homologated, according to the latest regulations
(Ce Directive: 2006/42/EC and standards EN ISO 3449:2008, EN
3471:2008, 474-1:2006 / A1: 2009, 474-3 : 2006/A1: 2009).
It’s important to underline that all models have 2nd level of Fops
homologation (although it is not required), to gives the possibility to
work in environments where it is required the maximum protection
from rock fall (forestry, mining). Palazzani maintains the same external/
internal size on two different cabin structures, for machines from 4.7
to 12 ton, offering the same comfort and habitability which are usually
used on competitor machines from 16-18 tons.
Security means also giving the user a constant machine operative and

Another well studied point, in order to give comfort and driver protection,
is the internal heating and ventilation, already disposedd to become air
conditioning. The heater group (+ optional air conditioning), as well as
the double filtration for outdoor air and for the internal recirculation, is
positioned inside a lateral compartment on the right side (accessible
by an outer door), to allow a uniform distribution of the air flows, in front
and rear part, by means of adjustable vents and pressurized conveyors,
which ensure a constant glasses defrost and a homogeneous ventilation
towards the operator.
Without air conditioning, the aeration is ensured by the opening of the
front-lateral glasses; it is possible to hook the windows backwards to
avoid breaking risks during operation.
The ergonomics and the pursuit of comfort are felt immediately
by entering the cabin and sitting on the comfortable seat, with
three adjustments levels, easily accessible, and equipped with rear
compartment, completed with lock. (pneumatic and heated seat version
are available as optional). The large space for the operator’s legs is very
appreciable, thanks to the slim steering column, with double adjustment
for the steering wheel. Also the positioning of equipments on the right
corner gives easy control of the functions indicated.
The case with the hydraulic manipulator is connected to the seat with
controls for lifting and tipping bucket; on the same multi-function
handle there are inserted electrical buttons for transmission controls
and auxiliary equipment, this allows the operator to work without taking
off the left hand from the steering wheel. The adjustable manipulator,
bound to the seat, gives to operators of any size comfort and precision
in the movements of the loader, typical of machines belonging to higher
category.
In addition to the operational functions of the machine, also the
complementary function are placed in a rational way, such as the radio
on the left side of the seat, with a predisposition for a CD charger,
a large storage compartment under the seat (which invested by the
ventilation, can become a “box for food”) and the possibility to install
cameras (option) with monitor on the right, to have a clear view of the
front work and of the small zones not covered by rear mirrors.
Finally, we anticipate that in Palazzani future perspective, we are working
to increase even more the comfort and driving pleasure of the operator.
In fact, considering that in 2014 combustion engines with Tier IV
emissions will be introduced, with electronic control, and with a
consequent interface between transmission and hydraulic system, the
controls will be increasingly focused on the right armrest, which will
be turned into an ergonomic console, where the main controls will
be focused on a mini-electronic joystick, and control and release of
multiple data will appear in real time on a monitor integrated into the
console itself.

Gran Telescopio Canarias,
outside and inside the observatory
For its versatility and the ability to enter even in tight spaces, Palazzani
Aerial Platforms have been preferred for the maintenance operations
of the Gran Telescopio Canarias the second world’s largest singleaperture optical telescope, a 10.4 m reflecting telescope undertaking
commissioning observations at the Roque de los Muchachos
Observatory on the island of La Palma, in the Canary Islands of Spain,
at an altitude of 2267 meters. The primary mirror is composed of 36

to its excellent technical characteristics: versatility, small size and light
weight, so that it could be placed on the delicate stage in wood.
ACADEMY Russian State, on which depends the Bolshoi Theatre in
Moscow, recently bought one Ragno TSJ 23/C ECO version, specifically
developed for the needs of staging and lifting of operators in different
parts of the stage and the of the hall .
In fact, the low pressure to the ground is one of the basic requirements
of the platform together with the working height of 23 meters. With
its super compact size, the Ragno passes through each type of door,
moving in a very small turning radius.
The Spider is powered by a battery of 220 volts capacity, and it’s the
first machine of this kind in Russia.
The machine was purchased from Bolshoi through Palazzani dealer for

Cathedral
Ragno Palazzani is one of the favorite
machines all over the world for restoration
and maintenance works of large historic
buildings, thanks to its extraordinary versatility
in terms of height and compactness. Easy set
up without interfering in roadways of historic
courtyards and squares.
In case of buildings with great heights, Ragno
XTJ 48/C is a real reference. This has been
confirmed during restoration and maintenance
works of the Sens cathedral, a Gothic jewel in
Burgundy (France).
One Ragno XTJ 48/C (crawler version)
has been provided by the rental company
Corberon. The bi-energy motorization (electric
and diesel) is particularly appreciated, together
with the availability of an electric winch of 300
kg. The movements are fast and accurate at
any height and without any rear encumbrance.
The stabilizers articulations give the possibility
of multiplies positions, especially on narrow
areas. A Palazzani device automatically adjusts
the reaches, as a function of stabilization and
load (120/200/300 kg), with endless rotation.
At 42 meters inside
Mecca
The machine, sold to the Company Saudi
Bin Ladin, is used by the Company Haram,
which is specialized in maintenance of
technical architecture and authorized to work
inside the most sacred area in the holy city
of Mecca. It is not easy to take a picture like
this, showing Ragno at work in Mecca. In
fact, we kindly got it be the company Haram,
which was allowed to enter the sacred area
and take pictures.
With model XTJ 42, it is possible to intervene
on the taller buildings surrounding the place
where the “black stone” is kept. In particular,
maintenance and restoration operations are
carried out, as there are some plaster and
marble in the roof that require maintenance,
following the expansion project of the Two
Holy Mosques.
This model of Ragno has a max working
height of 42 meters, a maximum reach
horizontal of 18.5 m and a weight of about
10 tons in crawler version.
Ragno Palazzani was chosen for its ability
to achieve great heights with compact size,
passing through the smallest doors.
Works concentrated on some parts of the
cathedral, including the famous southern
facade of the transept, with a glass window
18 meters high and mostly occupied by a
precious rose window of six branches.
