PROGRAM OF UNDERGRADUATE STUDIES IN
SOCIOLOGY
By its under-graduation program of Sociology the faculty
provides competences closely related to problematic
areas like:
• social development,
• group structure and social categories,
• group dynamics,
• relations between individuals and social institutions,
• social behaviors and their influences on individuals and
groups,
• social diagnosis and prognosis using surveys,
observations, interviews,
• studies of social phenomenon’s causality as poverty,
drug use, school abandon, delinquency, criminality,
• social aggression, social mobility, sexuality, migration.
Within this program there are developed capacities of
analysis of the sphere of politics and electoral behavior,
social skills in analysis, diagnosis, prognosis, barometers,
market studies, imaging studies and other practical
profile investigations, problem solving skills in cultural
heritage, rural and urban community development,
consultancy and minority ethnic issues in surveys and
ethnographic
monographs
operation,
offering
to
authorities and decision factors suggestions for solving
some problems on local and national level.
PROGRAM OF UNDERGRADUATE STUDIES IN
PSYCHOLOGY
The undergraduate program of Psychology provides
courses and seminars for to developing and gathering
competences related to general and specific problematic
areas of scientific research in the fields of:
• Human behavior,

• Psychosocial phenomena,
• Psychotherapy,
• Psychoanalysis,
• Transactional analysis,
• Creativity,
• Personality psychology,
• Environmental psychology,
• Developmental psychology,
• Family psychology,
•Psycho-sexology,
• Work-psychology,
• Learning psychology,
• Experimental study of different mental abilities,
• Testing and psychological evaluation necessary in
different levels of work areas,
• Psychological counseling and counseling for choosing
educational
formation
aptitudes,
• Career development,
according
to
interests
and
• Counseling for evaluating alternatives of educational
trajectory depending on vocational component,
• Promoting mental health,
• Optimizing individual adaptive capacities.
In this program there are developed skills for
development plans and research projects in psychology
and its various areas; communication and negotiation
skills to obtain information on customer needs, the ability
to carry psycho diagnosis by scientific strategies learned
in theoretical and applicative nature activities.
PROGRAM OF MASTER STUDIES IN
ORGANISATIONAL MANAGEMENT AND HUMAN
RESOURCES
The
program
of
master
studies
is
one
of
professionalisation and offers new theoretical and
applicative openings in the fields of institutions and
organizations, deepened in debates at seminars and
laboratories, completed by practical works and researches
made individually and in teams. In this master program
are
developed
necessary
skills
mobilizing
and
galvanizing work teams, conflict management and crisis
management skills in the frame of organizations. The
program develops skills for investigation and support,
consulting, counseling, human resource management and
control, use of modern methods and techniques of
research in organizational management and human
resources.
Students become familiarized with the realities of the
internal environment of the organization (structure, mode
of operation and management, distribution of tasks and
skills, personnel policy, etc.) through individual and
group research under the supervision of teachers. The
interdisciplinary character of training, couching and
professional orientation for a career development is
entirely ensured, assisting the creation of a high culture
in the field.
PROGRAM OF MASTER STUDIES IN
JUDICIAL PSYCHOLOGY AND VICTIMOLOGY
The
graduation
program
is
conceived
to:
•
professionalize and provide familiarity with social
measures leading to prevention and mitigation of
potential sources of aggression and violence, • facilitate
skill acquisition for specific work programs addressed to
victims and perpetrators, • develop patterns of thinking
and interpretation of etiological perspective the social
order phenomena, deviance and social pathology.
This master program is undertaking the acquisition of
complementary skills in creating programs and projects
to combat and prevent violence, knowledge of prison
environment issues, the effects that imprisonment has on
prisoner psychology and human relations, emphasizing
intervention strategies in situations and cases linked to
conflict and violence.
The topics focuses on how avoid marginalization, social
exclusion and how to grow reintegration and social
inclusion and are strongly considered and analyzed
within all courses provided by this graduate program.
INFRASTRUCTURE AND FACILITIES
Faculty of Sociology and Psychology has an adequate
material base and constantly upgrading, which is
endowed with two auditoriums with a capacity of 720
seats and 250 seats respectively, corresponding seminar
rooms and labs, television studio, reading rooms, library
etc. For teaching and scientific research are available 288
computers with access to intelligent platform Blackboard
E-learning
type,
60
computers
have
social
and
psychological research specific software (SPSS, software
for typing, desktop publishing software, presentation and
spreadsheet - Office type), software analysis and
conversion of audio format printing for students with
special needs.
For social activities, Spiru Haret University makes
available to students and masters the club and restaurant
dining, there are offered accommodation in their own
homes. For sports activities students are offered free
sports grounds including sports modern halls and fields.
IMPLYING STUDENTS IN SCIENTIFIC
ACTIVITIES AND EUROPEAN RESEARCH
PROJECTS
Undergraduate and master students of the Faculty of
Sociology - Psychology are strongly involved in
scientific activities run by different teams of researchers
of the faculty, under their guidance. They also have the
possibility of participating and working in scientific
circles and faculties clubs, attending conferences and
presenting their work in different communication
sessions and projects. By participating in European
projects conducted y the university, all students have the
opportunity to acquire new training to add their CVs and
obtaining consistent funding.
OPPORTUNITIES AFTER GRADUATION
Through regular meetings with employers in the labor
market, the graduate students receive permanent support
in designing their individual path and future career
trajectory, having great openings in education, justice,
industry, business, NGOs and administrative bodies,
clinical, human resources, in front media areas,
marketing, communication and negotiation.
The graduates of the Faculty of Sociology and
Psychology, highly integrated into the labor market in a
proportion of 90%, may work in specialized institutions,
governmental
and
non-governmental
organizations,
public authorities, research institutes. We can mention
some of them, such as: Ministry of Interior, school
inspectorates, ministries, municipalities.
