LOCAVORE EXPLORATION
Locavore is a word often used to describe people who represent or take part
in the growing local food movement. Indulge further during this exploration
into the Farm to Table Movement sweeping the Napa Valley. You will begin
your morning exploring local food purveyors at a local farmers market.
Sample some of the best produce the Napa region offers. Based on your
personalized seasonal menu created by our Executive Chef, you will gather
ingredients to utilize for the afternoon’s lunch and return to the resort to
meet with our top culinary team. Thereafter we will provide instruction as you
work side-by-side to construct your meal with the morning market’s finds.
Indulge your senses with a multi-course gourmet meal and wine pairing.
WINEMAKER FOR A DAY
Join our Wine Educators as they guide you through Calistoga Ranch’s Vineyard.
Learn about the science of winemaking, including history and geographical
distribution, grape varieties and wine types, influence of climate and soil, wine
fermentation, handling, storage and bottling methods. Next, learn firsthand
the fine art of blending our estate grown wines. During your blending enjoy
our private label Calistoga Ranch wines along with a complementing cheese
assortment. The personalized blending experience is the perfect way to learn
directly from our wine educators all you have wanted to know about the wines
of Napa Valley.
ART IN THE VINEYARD
You can begin the day at any scenic location of your choice at Calistoga Ranch.
It can be overlooking the vineyard with all its vibrant colors or perched over
our lake or majestic creek. Working closely together, our artist will assist in
individual direction to create beautiful landscape art you will want to share!
Enjoy a morning or an afternoon spread while discussing art and reviewing
the day’s work.

FLORAL DESIGN AT CALISTOGA RANCH
Join our floral expert and learn from her influential floral design techniques
using local, seasonal ingredients with practical and easy to follow
demonstrations. The experience offers all levels an inspirational setting using
the exquisite natural resources of wine country. Enjoy your floral creation as
an adornment of your lodge or provide as a warm gesture to a friend or loved
one. Take with you the ability to recreate such techniques at home with your
new or enhanced skillset.
WINE COUNTRY PHOTOGRAPHY EXCURSION
Our professional photographer will join you at Calistoga Ranch to create
captivating shots. Our excursion stimulates all senses within the beautiful
landscape of Calistoga Ranch’s 157 acres. You will work closely together to
increase skill levels and find new ways of advancing your ‘photographer’s eye’.
After time on the field you will have the opportunity to work hand in hand
with our photographer in post-production to select, process and explore your
creativity using the latest software. Enjoy a cheese plate and wine while you
finalize your project.
WINE COUNTRY BALLOON ADVENTURES
Enchantment, romance, and excitement fill every colorful moment of this
graceful adventure. Your flight is a momentous occasion to celebrate with
special friends. The basket is a sculpture of wicker and leather, and the
iridescent colors of the balloon punctuate the horizon like an exclamation
point!Napa Valley Balloons provides transportation to and from the resort,
and a delightful champagne breakfast post flight.
SONOMA VALLEY ZIP LINE CHALLENGE
Nestled off the coast of Northern California and deep in the Redwood forest,
this eco-zip adventure is completely unlike anything you’ve ever experienced.
Come enjoy a two-and-a-half hour guided tour that includes 7 zip lines, 2
sky bridges, a majestic spiral staircase, a rappel to the forest floor, and the
unparalleled beauty of the world famous California Coastal Redwoods. Enjoy
the unique course that features a zip line over 800 feet long while you marvel
at panoramic forest views and deep ravines. Discover the world-famous
California Coastal Redwoods in a way you never imagined. It’s an adventure
that is green, family-friendly and educational.

PROFESSIONAL RACE DRIVING ADVENTURE
Start with a driver’s meeting, then get fitted for your driver safety gear, a seat,
seat belts and pedals. Next, cockpit procedures debrief before ignition on and
out to the track. A professional driver will guide you before beginning with
a sequential gearbox shifting exercise. Finish with lapping sessions around
the 2.52-mile raceway at progressively higher speeds. Half/full day programs
available. Karting is another choice of motorsports that allows you to suit up
in a racing suit and helmet, jump into a high-powered race-ready kart and
start creating some smoke underneath the tires at top speeds of about 80
mph.
CALISTOGA SIP N CYCLE BIKE TOUR
Your tour guide will pick you up from Calistoga Ranch early morning and
enjoy some of our local history as you travel the quiet country lanes to the
first winery stop. Each tour is unique and may include barrel tasting, beautiful
art, or food pairing at one of the three to four winery stops. The roads are
fairly flat and easy. At a well selected scenic stop you will enjoy a delicious
Wine Country picnic lunch and take in the views before heading off to the
final winery stops.
BIKE N SAFARI TOUR
Explore exotic animals in their natural habitat and bike along country lanes
to small, family owned wineries that showcase some of the best wines in the
Napa Valley. After about 10-miles return to Safari West and enjoy a buffet BBQ
lunch. After lunch your tour with Sarafi West begins. Ride in an open air jeep
and track wildlife with your guide including African Cape Buffalo, Giraffe,
Damara Zebra, Scimitar Horned Oryx, Red Lechwe and Blue Wildebeest.
The tour ends with a guided introduction to African cheetahs, lemurs, giant
porcupines and more.
