Trim Visits…Poland
Class III C
Sunday 14th October 2012
Dear friends,
I'm very happy and busy here in Poland. I arrived from Brazil late on Tuesday night and was
very tired. I think I had a bit of jet lag!
On the first day, Wednesday, I went to school and had five lessons: Polish, Maths, English,
R.E. and Computer Studies. There are 260 students aged 7-12 in the school. Classrooms are
big and there is a long hall, school canteen, school shop, a big gym and playgrounds outside.
Everyone is very kind and nice to me. I've got a new,
special friend here. It's a teddy bear and his name's
Kubuś.
This is me with my new friend
Kubuś in the classroom.
On the second day I visited around the school and met
teachers, the head teacher, the secretary, the office
ladies and many very cheerful children.
Friday was a special day at school. It was Teachers'
Day. All the students were dressed smart. Students
wore white shirts and black trousers or skirts. Teachers
received lots of flowers.
I’m having a brilliant time and will write to you all again soon. For now, have a look at
some of my photos.
I loved helping out – I got a bit sticky with
the glue!
I had a great day out at Wolin National Park.
Can you see me?
Looking through the magnifying glass
was really cool!
A great day out!

Dear friends,
I had a very busy weekend. On Saturday and Sunday I visited different children's houses.
Their names are: Dominika, Weronika, Dawid and Julia. I had great time. We played
together, went to the beach, watched TV and even I learnt some words in Polish. I must
say it's a strange and difficult language.
Now I would like to teach you
Hello - cześć
Good morning - dzień dobry
Goodbye - do widzenia
Thank you – dziękuję
:
I had to eat Polish dishes: bigos (made of cabbage, pieces of different kind of meat, onion,
mushrooms, tomatoes), different types of pierogi (dumplings with meat, sour cabbage with
mushrooms and dumplings with cottage cheese, onion and potatoes). It was delicious.
Sweets are also very good here.
I'm happy here but I miss you.
Lots of kisses,
Trim
Monday 15th October 2012 (evening)
I’m back! Phew! Another very busy day!
Today I had to go to school and I had four lessons: Polish, Maths, Art and English.
Maths and Polish were very difficult for me but English was "a piece of cake". It was the
best lesson because I could understand everything . Students learnt about pets. I'm
sending you some photos of: class register, timetable, the patron of the school Boleslaw
Chrobry King and students’ names.
English work – it was really easy for me and
I understood everything!
Here is the patron of the school, Boleslaw
Chrobry King.
Bye, bye,
Trim
Above is the children’s timetable.

Dear friends,
Today I had a very hectic and marvellous day.
The weather was beautiful. It was sunny and
quite warm. In the morning I went to school and
I visited the head teacher in her office.
The best lesson today was P.E. The gym is very
big and new.
After the lessons I went for a walk with Klaudia, Nikola and Wiktoria. They were my
guides. We visited so many interesting places: the town centre, the Chopin Park (Chopin
was a very famous Polish composer), the International Community Centre, the Wax
Museum, the promenade, the pier (395m long). I had the best time at the white, sandy
beach. We even went to the 7D cinema, the cafe, the playground and the Film Stars Alley.
The day was very exciting but I must admit that very tiring too. So many activities .
Oh! I'm sorry but I'm very tired and sleepy.
Goodnight my friends.
Lots of love,
Trim

I met a very friendly dog. It's a beagle and his name's Aidon.
