together a number of itineraries that will enable you to discover Scotland’s
outstanding natural beauty. You will find stunning natural and historic
landscapes, art inspired by nature, surprising wildlife and some of the world’s
finest food & drink.

CULTURE, COUNTRY & COAST ITINERARY
DAY 1
Arrive Glasgow and check into the HOTEL DU VIN AT ONE DEVONSHIRE GARDENS where you
will stay for two nights
DAY 2
Explore Glasgow and discover the Gallery of Modern Art and the Hunterian Museum, the
architecture of Charles Rennie Mackintosh, Glasgow’s 12th century cathedral, and the
Glasgow Botanic Gardens.
First stay in an elegant hotel
in bustling Glasgow city with
its stylish shopping and array
of acclaimed art galleries
and museums, then chill out
in a secluded luxury
Michelin-starred retreat by
the sea on the south-west
tip of Scotland and, lastly,
get active at a large
sophisticated resort
renowned for its world class
golf, luxury spa and wide
range of outdoor pursuits.
Later that day you can enjoy a private tour of Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, one of
Europe’s great civic art collections, with your personal guide, followed by a whisky tasting at
Hotel du Vin at One Devonshire Gardens and then dinner in the Bistro.
DAY 3
After breakfast check out of the Hotel du Vin Glasgow and head south to KNOCKINAAM
LODGE, around 95 miles.
Not to be missed en route, about half way, is Culzean Castle and Country Park dating back to
the 1400s – it’s one of Scotland’s favourite castles - there are beautiful walled gardens, forest
walks, and dramatic views of the Ayrshire coast.
You can get close to nature at Knockinaam - there is wonderful walking in the Galloway hills
and forests, where there are unspoilt routes and single track roads ideal for cycling (over
1,300 miles in all of way-marked trails), and on a clear evening the unpolluted region is
amazing for star gazing.
Dinner you will savour in the candlelit Michelin-starred restaurant at Knockinaam - it is a
gastronomic delight.

DAY 4
Soak up the tranquillity of Knockinaam after breakfast – take a leisurely stroll along the beach
or in the 30 acres of landscaped grounds, and check out the hotel’s history: Sir Winston
Churchill met General Eisenhower and their Chiefs of Staff her during the Second World War .
Dinner is taken in the hotel restaurant
EXPERIENCE OPTION Ref. KL1
Hosted nature walk with National Trust Ranger around the mull of Galloway followed by a bat
hunt in the hotel grounds during the evening (Spring/Summer) OR Osprey-watch OR Arrival
of Barnacle Geese and Whooper Swans (Autumn). The cost is £25 per person per tour which
is given to The National Trust.
DAY 5
After breakfast leave Knockinaam Lodge and drive to TURNBERRY, A LUXURY COLLECTION
RESORT, around 43 miles. This sophisticated resort is a playground for outdoor lovers and
golfers.
EXPERIENCE OPTION Ref. TR1
Take a boat trip from Girvan around Ailsa Craig, a volcanic plug nine miles offshore (only
accessible by boat), a designated Site of Special Scientific Interest and a Special Protection
Area, is home to around 73,000 breeding seabirds including 36,000 pairs of gannets, as well
guillemots, razorbills, peregrines and puffins. The cost of this depends on the number of
people and the length of the tour. Please ask Little’s for details.
EXPERIENCE OPTION Ref. TR2
The Chef’s Table is located in Turnberry’s main kitchen and guests have a multi-faceted view
of the chef at work as he prepares his creations. Diners learn about his cooking methods, the
ingredients and how they come together. Each experience at The Chef’s Table is unique as the
menu changes according to the seasons and the chef’s choice of local ingredients. This is a
perfect evening to mark a special occasion. The cost of this is from £120 per person.
DAY 6
After breakfast sign up for one of the many on-site outdoor pursuit experiences such as 4x4
off road driving, quad biking, archery or shooting. Take a golf lesson at the Turnberry
Performance Academy or play a round of golf on the famous Ailsa Course. These activities are
not included in the package cost and should be booked separately. After a day of activity,
relax and revitalise at the luxury Spa at Turnberry – it’s a restful sanctuary enjoying far
reaching views over the sea.
DAY 7
Take a leisurely breakfast and relax until your departure time. The airport is approximately 56
miles away.

Arrival transfer from Glasgow Airport to Hotel du Vin
A local day touring in Glasgow on Day 2 of up to 8 hours
Three 8 hour days touring on Days 3,4,5 with a total of 400 miles.
Departure transfer from Turnberry Hotel to Glasgow Airport on Day 7.
Chauffeur’s overnight accommodation costs for Days 3 & 4
Parking and drop off fees at Glasgow Airport upon arrival and departure
The itinerary does not include the cost of a chauffeur driven car on Day 6 as that day is focused upon spending the day using the facilities at
Turnberry Hotel and will not require the chauffeur that day. Entrance fees, lunch on the touring days are not included and would be payable
directly on the day in question. Additional hours and miles would be added to the final bill upon completion of the hire if incurred.
Commission would be offered to travel agents on the car hire charges.
For those wishing self-drive car hire rather than a chauffeur driven car the cost of a Mercedes E-Class or Jaguar XF will be £125.00 per day
and on the basis of the itinerary and length of the trip the cost for the 7 day period will be £875.00. This is a NET rate. This rate includes VAT,
mileage and Insurance. The excess amount is £1500 and this can be reduce to £750 for an additional £15.00 per day. A second driver can be
added at no additional cost and the pick up and drop off of the car can be at either Glasgow or Edinburgh Airports, however the pick and
drop off must be at the same airport, otherwise a one way rental fee will be incurred.
