Western touches. This Spring season, choose between the

strong start, 999.99 offers a five course menu ($59) with a
luxurious, mainly Italian-inspired mix of meat and seafood
dishes. Their lunch menus (from $19.80) are affordable but
don't skimp on the posh either.

31 Bar and Kitchen
Channeling convivial, laid back vibes, this French bar and
kitchen is perfect for some after-work mingling or a casual
dinner date.
The menu is split into small plates for light nibbles and
bigger plates for main courses. The menu rotates regularly,
but if you ever spot the Pan Seared Whole French Duck
Magret ($55) on the menu, we say it's a must-try!

Run by two French chefs (so you're getting the real deal!),
Taratata Bistrot serves well-loved, home-style French

A British-inspired snack bar, The Study is an unpretentious
social dining spot.
Their menu, cheekily divided into chapters, feature dishes
such as Iberico Scotch Egg ($17) and Kurobuta Pork Collar
($38) slow-cooked to perfection, paired with pommes anna,
burnt apple, rainbow chard, and lardo.

Restaurant Ember

Helmed by Chef Sufian Bin Zain, who has had honourable
stints with the likes of Les Amis and Waku Ghin under his
belt, expect no less then exemplar, well-thought out flavours
in modern European Restaurant Ember's menu.
If we had to choose, we'd say go for the seafood dishes like
the well-loved Sakura Ebi Capellini ($28) with Konbu and
Crustacean Oil, or Pan Roasted Barramundi ($28) with vine
ripped cherry tomatoes, fine beans, and clam jus –
gloriously fresh, classy, and absolutely delectable.

Potato Head Folk
Occupying four storeys in the iconic red and white
shophouse that has become practically representative of
Keong Saik Road is the bohemian sanctuary that is Potato
Head Folk - the first two floors are the dining area, the third
is a lounge bar, and head up to the fourth for the rooftop
garden space.

Tuck into some hearty burgers - with wagyu beef patties and
foie gras, buttermilk fried chicken, a huge crab patty... you'll
be hard pressed to pick just one.

Afterglow by ANGLOW
If you ever thought of a healthy, plant-based diet as boring,
you probably haven't tried Afterglow.
This farm-to-table restaurant is certainly doing things right in
both the taste and health department, offering sumptuous
yet wholesome fare. Think dishes like Raw Zucchini
Linguine with Walnut "Meatballs" ($20), Quinoa-strone
($14), and the like. Their dishes are influenced by cuisines
of all sorts - the Kimchi Nori Roll ($14) is an old-time
favourite.

This modern Australian Barbecue is all about honest
cooking on wood ovens and grills.

One of the champions in the menu packed with winners is
The Sanger ($20) - pulled pork shoulder, spicy chipotle aioli,
jalapenos, and coleslaw sandwiched between slices of fluffy
brioche. It's been said to change lives, and we can vouch for
that. Try their steaks and small plates as well!

Nicolas Le Restaurant
The eponymous French restaurant, helmed by Chef
Nicholas Joanny and his years of experience in Michelin star
restaurants under his belt, the menu reads extremely well.
Go for the four-course set dinner ($78++) or, if you're feeling
a treat, request the special 8-course "surprise menu"
($128++) and let Chef Nicholas take your tastebuds on a
magical ride.

Scramble ($17.50), a seemingly innocent butter croissant with
cheesy ricotta scrambled eggs and bacon, and the Buckwheat
Pancakes ($20.50) with berry fruit compote, passionfruit curd,
cornflake crumbs, thyme infused maple syrup and florals are
must-tries.

Along with the usual suspects, The Lokal also offers unique
brunch fare such as Roast Pumpkin Salad ($18) with a
gloriously elaborate medley of pickled beetroot, green beans,
dried cranberries, quinoa, and more, and the Lobster Roll
($22), to list a few. You can even build your own brunch with an
entire selection of breakfast items, from eggs all ways to
sauteed mushrooms to roast beef.
Have we also mentioned that they do possible the best Sticky
Date Pudding ($16) ever?

The Daily Roundup
The Daily Roundup specializes on healthier, lighter brunch
options, notably their crêpes and galettes. They've got plenty of
both sweet and savoury options – the Yuzu Butter Crêpe ($12)
and the Complète Galette ($16) with artisan ham, French
Comté cheese, and a sunny side up egg are hot favourites.

The Aussies are big on brunch, and if that's anything to go by,
Luxe Sydney is one place you should try out.

praise-worthy contemporary Australian fare to match – we love
their Ricotta Pancake ($20) with berries, exploding candy, and

Banana Tree
Bingsus (Korean shaved ice desserts) are all the craze in
Singapore, so we're not surpised that there's a cafe
specializing in just that along Keong Saik street.

This is as adorable as it gets - the Bingsus are
beautifully presented in flower pots, and are available in a
variety of flavours. Great for cooling down after a meal at one
of the other restaurants along the street!

Neon Pigeon
Neon Pigeon is a hip Japanese izakaya serving sharing
plates, its lively atmosphere making it the perfect setting for
a social gathering.
Try the decadent Roasted Bone Marrow ($18) with furikake
seasoning, crispy garlic, and toast, and the Smoked Baby
Back Ribs ($18) with sake-infused barbecue sauce. 6-8
plates are recommended for a table of 2.

We don't know who Mariko is, although we'd certainly like to
find out.
This Japanese-inspired restaurant-bar offers a exciting fare
such as Risotto with Edamame, Roasted Pine Nutsand
Onsen Egg ($20) and Beef Yakiniku Rib-eye with Bonito
Mashed Potatoes ($30) as well as light bar bites. Not
forgetting the entire menu of Japanese whiskey, cocktails,
and other alcoholic beverages that pair perfectly with the
food.

Widely hailed to serve the best burritos in town - and not
without reason - give this place a whirl for these ginormous
