Happy New Year!
It’s looking like a great year for members of NNRMLS. We have several great new
initiatives to offer our members and no increase in MLS fees for 2011.
First and foremost, January 24th will begin the official rollout of Paragon 5 – our
upgrade from the familiar Paragon 4. Such enhanced capability as multitasking, inline
auto complete and no java issues - not to mention cross-browser compatibility making
Mac a viable option - make Paragon 5 a must have for our members. Read further in
this newsletter for information on how to get training and access as soon as possible.
Other initiatives coming in 2011 include a true mobile interface to Paragon for our
members. Also, we will be doing extensive work to increase the effectiveness of our
consumer facing website www.nnrmls.com. We are working on quick step-by-step
help via video on our member website, an automated virtual tour product that will
upload a slideshow of your listing pictures while you sleep, and much more.
I am proud of both the level of service and the fine product line up offered here at
NNRMLS. The strength and foresight of this organization comes from our volunteer
leadership who, over the past 7 years, have consistently held up our mission to stay
focused on keeping our members central to the real estate transaction, protecting the
value of the core intellectual property, and looking ahead to trending issues that may
affect our industry.

Paragon 5 Deployment Begins January 24!
Beginning
the week
of January
24, NNRMLS
will begin
the official
rollout of
Paragon 5
A
fter months of work, the debut of Paragon 5 is just around the corner. Thanks to the
efforts of our early adopters, we have been able to give our feedback to the developers to further
refine Paragon 5 to make it even better.
Paragon 5 will include great features including:
• Tabs to allow for multi-tasking
• Inline auto-complete to enhance searching and listing input
• No Java means fewer calls to tech support
• Support for multiple web browsers including Firefox, Google’s Chrome, Opera and Safari
Coming soon: Support for iPad and other tablet devices will come shortly after Paragon 5’s
full release.
Paragon 5 will be activated and running in conjunction with the current Paragon 4 while
we get our members trained.
NNRMLS has scheduled a massive training regimen
Many of our members have not attended a Paragon training class since Paragon 3 came online.
We want to give our members the advantage, not only by offering such a rich and robust system,
but by making you all aware of how the enhancements in P5 can save you time and money. To
accommodate our entire membership base, NNRMLS has scheduled a massive training regimen.
Beginning the week of January 24, NNRMLS will begin the official rollout of Paragon 5. You
can register for training classes by faxing in the training flyer or by registering online through
our membership website, members.nnrmls.com. We look forward to showing you all that
Paragon 5 has to offer.

Frequently Asked Accounting Questions
Whether you have been with the MLS for a long time or are a new Member, there
you can
also obtain
payment
history
online
are certain questions that are asked frequently. Hopefully this will help clear up some of
these questions:
Can I pay my balance automatically through MLS?
Yes, you can obtain an Auto Pay form through Paragon in MLS Docs, or contact our office
and we will be happy to fax or e-mail the form to you. Simply fill out the form and fax it
to our office. Once in our system, we will automatically run your credit card between the
1st and 5th of each month. Note: Remember to contact us if any of your card information
changes.
How can I pay online?
This is a great way to pay your monthly fees! On this site you can pay your bill, obtain
payment history for your tax accounting or register for classes. To learn more go to
members.nnrmls.com and then click “Online Payment” and login with your member
number and password. Not sure of your password? Call our office and we will help you get
logged in.
I paid through my bank account and the money was taken out, but not credited to
my MLS Account – why?
You must have our proper mailing address! If you are continuing to use the closed PO Box,
your check will probably not arrive for more than a week, and possibly be returned to the
bank.
I have never been late before - why do I have to pay the $50 reactivation fee?
It is the policy of NNRMLS that if you do not pay your past due amount by the 45th day
(15th of the following month) there is a $50 reactivation fee that must be paid before
you are reactivated. Example: Fees billed for the month of January are due on the 15th of
January, but not considered late until February 15th. If you feel that there were unavoidable
circumstances for being late, you can write a letter to request a fee waiver (faxed to the
NNRMLS office). If the Administrative Review Panel votes in your favor, the fee will
be credited back to your account. But until that time, the fee must be paid in order to
reactivate your account.

Do you have an assistant? Does your assistant log into Paragon using your ID?
If you

If you answered yes to one or both of the above questions you need to ask one more
question...have I registered my assistant with MLS?
Registering your personal assistant or new office administrative staff person is simple and
cost effective. To download the Staff ID form go Paragon MLS Docs. Complete the Staff
ID form and either email it to [email protected] or fax it to 775-823-8809. There is a one
time set-up fee of $25 and a one time security assessment fee of $50. If your assistant does
not have a real estate license the monthly fee is $5, and if your assistant is licensed and
a member of MLS the annual fee is $20. To update the record of a staff person that is no
longer employed by you, there is no charge.
Remember, you must not allow access to Paragon to anyone not registered with NNRMLS.
You could be fined $2500. See section 6.9 of the NNRMLS Policy Manual regarding
“Unauthorized Use”.

I am excited
to show
you the
upgrades in
Paragon 5
The Paragon 5 system has been in Beta testing for several months now and we have
gotten great feedback from our early adopters. This feedback has been extremely helpful
to make the necessary adjustments to fix minor issues that come along with new upgrades.
These issues have been resolved and it will be a pleasure to help train our membership on
the new Paragon 5 software!
Starting later this month, we will be offering Paragon 5 overview classes to show off
the NEW aspects of the system. The transition should be fairly smooth - if you are using
Paragon 4, then Paragon 5 should be a snap. The new system looks and functions a lot
like the old system but with some major upgrades and improvements. The system is now
completely browser-compatible, so you can use Paragon on a Mac and with the Firefox web
browser. Another major upgrade is the ability to multi-task. For example, you may now
do a search and input a listing at the same time, add a new contact and do a tax search at
the same time, or even do multiple searches simultaneously through the tab system. Please
register for one of our upcoming Paragon 5 overview classes - I am excited to show you the
