ABOUT YOUNG TEXANS
AGAINST CANCER
Young Texans Against Cancer (YTAC) was founded in
2001 by 44 young professionals in Houston who had a
common thread in their lives, cancer. All of these people
had either personally battled cancer or witnessed loved
ones struggling with the disease. Inspired by these experiences, the founding members created YTAC in order to
increase cancer awareness among their generation and
raise money for cancer research and support organizations in their community. YTAC has grown statewide and
has opened chapters in Austin, Dallas, and San Antonio.
YTAC San Antonio began in 2009 and has quickly grown,
we have over 300 supporters in South Texas. Our organization is focused on raising funds for local research and
support organizations, using our member base to increase awareness of volunteer organizations and helping
to educate our community on cancer research.
ABOUT THE QUESO BOWL
The 2016 Queso Bowl is our third annual event, and we
couldn’t be more excited! Guests will enjoy a variety of
queso recipes from nearly a dozen of the best chefs in
the San Antonio competing to take home the title of
Queso Bowl Champion. To keep a friendly atmosphere,
we will also have an open bar.
