employee event. Branch Manager Cathy Askew (at podium) accepted the award on behalf of her team, thanking members for their support throughout 2014.
DEAR VALUED DELTA COMMUNITY MEMBER,
As we continue to celebrate our 75th anniversary this year, Delta Community is poised to meet your financial
needs, whatever they may be. Thanks to your continuing support, we are able to do this in a variety of ways.
With the economy slowly improving and consumer confidence increasing, you may be considering a new home
or equity loan. If so, we have a 75th anniversary special for each program running through the end of April.
If you are seeking a car loan, we have special rates for those too, which will continue through May. Also, your
Delta Community Platinum Rewards Credit Card will come in handy for your vacation and you will earn Reward
Points for future usage. Whatever your financial needs, we are ready to serve you.
Letter From The CEO
Our commitment to serve extends to communities as well. We are firmly committed to investing in the
communities we are privileged to serve. We believe thriving communities help our members thrive which,
in turn, strengthens Delta Community and benefits the entire membership.
This issue of Insights features some of the many ways Delta Community makes a difference in the communities where our members live,
work and raise families. In fact, in 2014, we invested $625,000 in schools, chambers of commerce, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and
Children’s Miracle Network, as well as in 15 other charities through our Philanthropic Fund.
In addition, our employees contributed countless volunteer hours to our community events.
Whatever your aspirations are for 2015, please know we are here to help you get more out
of your finances.

"We're All In This Together" First-Time Home Buyer seminar.
The seminar, held at Chuy's Perimeter in Atlanta on March 19, discussed the importance of establishing good

In Business, For Business Members
Delta Community members come from all walks of life – including those who run
businesses and become commercial borrowers. While credit unions have long
been known for their hands-on commitment to individuals, Delta Community also
has the resources to help companies.
Delta Community is well-positioned to meet the sophisticated borrowing needs
of its business members. In 2014, the Credit Union expanded its commercial loan
portfolio by 85%, adding clients such as The Pink Plumber and J.W. Outfitters.
Jack Willis from J.W. Outfitters, a national
provider of uniform and corporate apparel.
”Over the years we’ve dealt with all size banks,” said Jack Willis, president of
J.W. Outfitters. “But we eventually figured out we get more personal service at
Delta Community. They learn our business and take an interest in us.”
Simon Kelley, managing director of The Pink Plumber, agrees. “For a long time,
we were with big national banks that just didn’t share our vision. Delta Community
understands our goals for growth,” he said. “You’re not just a customer. You’re
a member.”
Business owners looking for competitive rates and terms should give one of our
experienced commercial lenders a call at 404-677-8691 (extension 2) to discuss
our full suite of commercial lending capabilities.

that serves metro Atlanta and Tampa Bay.
Annual Meeting
Delta Community’s annual meeting was held on March 23. Board chairman Jim Diffley conducted
the meeting, and CEO Hank Halter provided attendees with a recap of the Credit Union’s 2014
performance. Hank and Jim were also pleased to present a check to Children’s Healthcare of
Atlanta for Delta Community’s 2014 contributions totaling $161,115.
