Steps to Insert Field
Fig.1
1. See Fig.1.
Insert Guide Bar M4 (1R062) or M5
into each of the two holes on Motor
Housing by hand till it stops.
1R062 or 1R063
2. Insert the holes of Field through Guide
Bars, and push Field into Motor Housing
by hand and with plastic hammer.
Note:
Always be sure to take this step 2
because skipping step 2 may result in
inclined Field.
A
3. See Fig.2
Set Motor Housing on the turn base of
arbor press, and set Field Insert Jig on
Field as illustrated.
And then push the center of the Jig to
insert Field.
4. When Field is inserted by approximate
10mm, check whether or not Guide Bars
rotate lightly.
If the holes of Field are not aligned with
those of Motor Housing, Guide Bars
cannot be rotated by hand.
In such a case, therefore, hit the places
indicated by "A" in Fig.1 with plastic
hammer to turn Field slightly.
Thus, the position of Field is corrected,
letting guide Bars turn smoothly.
5. Taking care not to pinch the wires of Ring
Terminals, etc., insert Field till it stops.
Note:
Always Use Guide Bar 1R062 or 1R063
together with Field Insert Jig.

Ring Terminal Setting Jig
for models using spring-type
Use for setting the spring-type ring terminal of the field in place on the brush holder.
Two slotted screwdrivers have been commonly used for the purpose.
This conventional way, however, requires to learn the knack, and it is still difficult for a skilled person
and almost impossible for an unskilled person to set the ring terminal of type 61 or smaller motor.
On the contrary, you will be able to set the ring terminal in place easily and securely only
in 5 to 10 seconds once you get accustomed to using this jig.
130mm
35mm
How to Use
1) Grip the handle of this jig securely with your dominant hand.
Do not hold it with a pencil grip, or sufficient power will not be delivered to its L-shaped end.
2) First, hook the near side of the ring terminal on the brush holder. (Fig. 1)
3) Taking care not to allow the hooked portion of the ring terminal to slip off from the brush holder,
slide the L-shaped end of this jig towards the far side of the ring terminal. (Fig. 2)
4) While pressing down the ring terminal firmly, slide the L-shaped end towards the far side of the
terminal ring until the ring terminal snaps in place on the brush holder. (Fig. 3)
Hint for Assembling a New Field to Motor Housing
After assembling each lead wire of the two ring terminals to a new field,
bend each lead wire for easy ring terminal setting on the brush holder
before putting the field in the motor housing.
